Mediabase is for some reason crediting the Miley remix (probably a label decision), but make no mistake, the original solo version is getting the majority of airplay. Just one of those weird instances of nonsensical credits from Mediabase. Much like BTS was suddenly credited in "Savage Love" even though there's no way that remix was getting more than like 10% of the song's total airplay. do we know this as fact/do you know if we can see the distribution anywhere? I'm not a regular radio listener but the one day I listened to the radio couple weeks ago, I heard the Miley Cyrus remix. (I also heard the Ariana Grande remix of "Save Your Tears" like 4 times within a couple hours, lol. the solo version did come on once as well.) I also know that's completely anecdotal and doesn't reflect national airplay totals. (I know labels can just tack on artist names on Mediabase as soon as the remix drops, but I wonder if there's a chance the Miley Cyrus remix might be getting more spins at this point?) I would assume if the remix is getting majority of airplay, then it would be out doing the original in some fashion elsewhere as it would be the version with most exposure, but the original is ahead of the remix by a wide margin in every service I can think of. But of course this is country wide, individual markets definitely will differ from time to time. I wish there was a source to check for sure which versions of songs are getting played where and how often, but unfortunately I don't think there is one.

I didn't know this. didn't even notice that Miley Cyrus is no longer credited on the Hot 100, I thought she still was (hence why I was wondering if it was possible that airplay caught up, lol). that explains it. when I heard it here the remix was still relatively recent (like a month old) so that's perhaps why they were playing it.

How in fuck are these cheaters projected to have THAT many first-week sales with less versions available and still get away with 'Gutter' top 2?!

The Permission to Dance song literally made zero noise outside of their fanbase but OK.

RIP to the Talk of the Charts predictors but I’m different (I didn’t predict Butter falling out of the top 5 meaning I get to live)

It would really be something if "Butter" actually fell from the Top spot to out of the Top 5, Especially since it spent at least a majority of those 7 Weeks at #1 illegitimately. And even though "Permission To Dance" is very likely going to debut at #1 and probably spent multiple Illegitimate weeks at #1 just like "Butter" did, If "Butter" in fact ends up falling out of the Top 5 then the majority of us Chart watchers on here could breathe a sight of relief since the BTS Army's hopes of their favorite K-Pop Band being able to occupy the Top 2 positions on the Hot 100 will fail.

But predictions put Butter at #2 so BTS will probably occupy the top 2! twitter will blow up on monday afternoon... Edit: saw the TotC predictions, they put Butter at #6 unlike the one above from Billboard top songs..

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GET REKT MARGARINE (But seriously, I was fully expecting BTS to handily occupy the top 2, so I'm surprised and rather relieved to see this happen)

No one remembers Permission to Dance even 1 week from the release. Let's see how many weeks it'll get at #1.

Nah, the Army are obnoxious and determined as f**k, they'll probably double down on 'Permission To Die' especially if 'Litter' really does drop 1-6.

At this rate, BTS could release a new single every week and keep replacing themselves at #1. Watch them do it and score 30 #1s by 2022.
