Can you not do the updates on Take My Breath anymore? I don’t need you to remind me twice every day on how TMB is flopping, lol. this is rich coming from the guy that constantly reminds us "One Too Many" even exists on the daily by being too fucking pressed about a No. 52 hit.

Abel’s 2020 features aged poorly just like his 2019 ones. 2021 has been promising featured wise with You Right and Hurricane coming when Kanye decides to ever drop Donda, so hopefully he won’t mess it up for now (there’s also Better Believe and thankfully Belly is a better side of XO compared to Nav but this is kinda also forgettable as well. The song is decent though). Weeknd features are kinda like Kendrick features in that the big pop ones aren't as good as lesser known ones. Compare the ones he's done on Smile, Over Now, You Right, Hawai, with the ones on Or Nah, Pray 4 Love, Crew Love (this was Trilogy era Abel), Might Not, Nocturnal, and FML. The former ones sound like he didn't put as much effort into as the latter ones. The only exception has been his collabs with Ariana, they just seem to have natural chemistry with each other, and the ones he's done with Future because both of them are dark, nihilistic hedonists Also lol at people still expecting DONDA will drop this year Crew Love wasn't a The Weeknd feature

Country radio was the one that constantly reminded us OTM even existed. If they didn’t keep pushing it for 10 months, I wouldn’t have cared about it. The reason why I was pressed about it is because I felt so many good songs, like Golden and The Business, never got their fair shake on radio.

Country radio wasnt the one posting that OTM be taken off the charts because it wasnt "meaningful", nor were they the one that said country airplay should weighed down just because one user doesnt like it taking long to rotate out songs (btw if u think Country is bad, u should see what alt radio is like)

Plus, Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U" hits No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart.
The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber's "Stay" spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, a week after ascending to the summit.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U," at No. 2 on the Hot 100 after a week at No. 1, takes over as the most-heard song on U.S. airwaves, as it tops the Radio Songs chart. It also ties for the most weeks totaled in the Hot 100's runner-up spot (11), a mark first set by Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" in 1995-96.
Plus, The Weeknd's "Take My Breath" enters the Hot 100 at No. 6, arriving as his 13th top 10.
The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Aug. 21) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Aug. 17). For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.
"Stay," released July 9 on Raymond Braun/Columbia Records/Def Jam, drew 40.5 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 26%; good for top Airplay Gainer honors on the Hot 100) and 31.8 million U.S. streams (up 3%) and sold 12,700 downloads (down 12%) in the week ending Aug. 12, according to MRC Data.
The track adds a fourth week atop the Streaming Songs chart, dips 5-6 on Digital Song Sales and bounds 19-10 on Radio Songs. The Kid LAROI tallies his second Radio Songs top 10, after "Without You" hit No. 5 in May, and Bieber earns his 19th.
Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U," which ruled the Hot 100 in its debut week in May, holds at No. 2 as it rises to No. 1 on Radio Songs, up 2% to 77.4 million in audience. Rodrigo claims her second Radio Songs leader, after "Drivers License" for five weeks in March and April.
"Good 4 U" logs its record-tying 11th week at No. 2 on the Hot 100, encompassing the chart's 63-year history. It matches Whitney Houston's "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)," which also debuted at No. 1 before settling in at No. 2. "Good 4 U" has ranked directly below BTS' "Butter" (for eight weeks) and "Permission to Dance" (one week) and now The Kid LAROI and Bieber's "Stay" (two weeks). "Exhale" spent all 11 of its weeks at No. 2 a spot below Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day" in 1995-96.
Songs to Spend the Most Weeks at No. 2 on the Hot 100:
11, "Good 4 U," Olivia Rodrigo, first week at No. 2: June 5, 2021 11, "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)," Whitney Houston, Dec. 2, 1995 10, "Bad Guy," Billie Eilish, June 8, 2019 10, "That's What I Like," Bruno Mars, April 1, 2017 10, "Work It," Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Nov. 16, 2002* 10, "Freak Me," Silk, March 27, 1993 10, "Waiting for a Girl Like You," Foreigner, Nov. 28, 1981*
(*Five of the seven songs above hit No. 1 on the Hot 100; only "Work It" and "Waiting for a Girl Like You" peaked at No. 2.)
Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" rises to a new No. 3 Hot 100 high, from No. 5, and Doja Cat's "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, climbs 6-4, after reaching No. 3. Dua Lipa's "Levitating," featuring DaBaby, drops 3-5 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 2. As for another longevity mark in the chart's upper reaches, it posts a 32nd week in the top 10, tying for the sixth-longest run in the region (and for the longest top 10 stay among songs not to reach No. 1, equaling the time spent in the tier by LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live").
Most weeks in Hot 100's top 10:
57, "Blinding Lights," The Weeknd, No. 1 peak (four weeks), beginning April 4, 2020 39, "Circles," Post Malone, No. 1 (three weeks), Nov. 30, 2019 33, "Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)," Post Malone & Swae Lee, No. 1 (one week), Jan. 19, 2019 33, "Girls Like You," Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B, No. 1 (seven weeks), Sept. 29, 2018 33, "Shape of You," Ed Sheeran, No. 1 (12 weeks), Jan. 28, 2017 32, "Levitating," Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby, No. 2, May 22, 2021 32, "Sicko Mode," Travis Scott, No. 1 (one week), Dec. 8, 2018 32, "Closer," The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, No. 1 (12 weeks), Sept. 3, 2016 32, "How Do I Live," LeAnn Rimes, No. 2, Dec. 13, 1997 31, "Mood," 24kGoldn feat. iann dior, No. 1 (eight weeks), Oct. 24, 2020 31, "Uptown Funk!," Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars, No. 1 (14 weeks), Jan. 17, 2015
The Weeknd's "Take My Breath" debuts at No. 6 on the Hot 100. The song, released Aug. 6, starts with 30. 7 million in radio audience, 19.3 million streams and 18,000 sold (digital and physical singles combined). It enters at No. 4 on both Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales and No. 25 on Radio Songs.
"Breath" was available for purchase in its first week as a download (discounted to 69 cents) for its original version and in extended and instrumental form, while its original mix was also available as a CD single for $1.99. Plus, six clips of the song were posted to The Weeknd's official YouTube channel in the tracking week: its official music video; official audio and lyric videos; its extended and instrumental versions; and an "XO Lens" treatment.
The Weeknd achieves his 13th Hot 100 top 10, a run that began in November 2014 with the No. 7-peaking "Love Me Harder," with Ariana Grande. "Breath" is his fourth song to debut in the top 10. BTS' "Butter" descends 4-7 after nine weeks atop the Hot 100, as it leads Digital Song Sales for an 11th week (62,900, down 20%). Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow's "Industry Baby" slips 7-8 on the Hot 100, two weeks after launching at No. 2, and tops the multi-metric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, which use the same methodology as the Hot 100, for a third week each. Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, Lil Nas X's former one-week No. 1 "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" drops 8-9 and Olivia Rodrigo's "Deja Vu" backtracks 9-10, after reaching No. 3. Again, for all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram and all charts (dated Aug. 21), including the Hot 100 in its entirety, will refresh on Billboard.com tomorrow (Aug. 17).

It feels great that "Levitating" is about to become the Top 10 hit that Peaked at #2 with the most Weeks there, I still think that it was robbed of the Top spot even though the song had illegal VPN streaming that Week. Also interesting to see that "Good 4 U" is about to break the record for most Weeks at #2 regardless of Peak.
Congratulations to "Blinding Lights" for now officially breaking the record for Most Weeks on the Hot 100, Wow I didn't think that it would be possible to break the "Radioactive" record due to the 25/52 Recurrent rule but it happened.

Unbelievable. I remember my friends and I discovering his early mixtapes a decade ago, and now he's got the biggest Hot 100 hit of all time. A well-deserved record achieved, and it's even more impressive given that the recurrent rules are much less forgiving than the ones that "Radioactive" had to overcome.

I was hoping Levitating can pull 40 weeks in the Top 10 but since radio is dropping it (thanks DaBaby!) I'll be happy with 35+ weeks.

Radioactive also had a couple weeks off the hot 100. Blinding Lights had none but that 1 week during Christmas that really shouldn’t count but it does but regardless its even more impressive with that fact.

Since Butter is dropping so fast can the song of the summer end up being “Good For U” or “Levitating”?

It breaks out of a tie with Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive."
The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" logs a record-breaking 88th week on the Billboard Hot 100 (on the chart dated Aug. 21). It passes Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive," which spent 87 weeks on the survey in 2012-14.
"Blinding Lights," released on XO/Republic Records, debuted at No. 11 on the Hot 100 dated Dec. 14, 2019. The song, which ranks at No. 18 in its 88th week, hit No. 1 for its first of four weeks on top on the chart dated April 4, 2020. Over its run, it has rewritten the records for the most time spent in the Hot 100's top five (43 weeks), top 10 (57 weeks), top 20 (79 weeks) and top 40 (84 weeks).
Here's an updated look at the titles to tally the most time on the Hot 100, dating to the chart's Aug. 4, 1958, inception through the latest list, dated Aug. 21, 2021.
Most Weeks Spent on the Billboard Hot 100:
88 weeks, "Blinding Lights," The Weeknd, No. 1 peak (four weeks), April 4, 2020 peak date 87 weeks, "Radioactive," Imagine Dragons, No. 3, July 6, 2013 79 weeks, "Sail," AWOLNATION, No. 17, Oct. 12, 2013 76 weeks, "I'm Yours," Jason Mraz, No. 6, Sept. 20, 2008 69 weeks, "How Do I Live," LeAnn Rimes, No. 2, Dec. 13, 1997 68 weeks, "Counting Stars," OneRepublic, No. 2, Jan. 18, 2014 68 weeks, "Party Rock Anthem," LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock, No. 1 (six weeks), July 16, 2011 65 weeks, "Rolling in the Deep," Adele, No. 1 (seven weeks), May 21, 2011 65 weeks, "You Were Meant for Me"/"Foolish Games," Jewel, No. 2, April 19, 1997 64 weeks, "Before He Cheats," Carrie Underwood, No. 8, June 2, 2007
"Blinding Lights," which The Weeknd performed as the finale of his Super Bowl LV halftime show medley Feb. 7, is one of three Hot 100 No. 1s from his 2020 album After Hours.
"After Hours was always meant to be a very personal project. It's a story I had to tell," The Weeknd told Billboard after "Blinding Lights" became the first (and, so far, only) song to spend a year in the Hot 100's top 10. "The fact I've been able to tell it with the world listening is incredible."
Meanwhile, The Weeknd adds his latest Hot 100 hit, as his new single "Take My Breath" launches at No. 6 on the Aug. 21 chart, arriving as his 13th top 10.

I wonder how many more weeks it will get. No matter what, it will be gone by Christmastime, which is about 15 weeks away, so at the very most it could have roughly 103 weeks.

Odds TMB falls below BL next week?
What's truly remarkable about BL is the number of meaningful records it now holds, it's not just one.

Not happening, although, with it's losses on streaming, I won't be surprised if it leaves the top 10 and drops to somewhere in the 11-13 range. The only metric it's stable in right now is radio.

I'm just happy Olivia had her first 3 singles each spend at least 10 weeks in the top 10. That's really impressive. I hope one or two more singles off the album are able to reach the top 10. If her label plays it right, she could honestly keep pushing singles off the album till next year.

The Weeknd is still doing a fantastic longevity job. At this rate 100 weeks is really not too far to achieve!!!
Lil Nas X has more than proven himself as an artist as he continues to have 2 tracks steady in top 10. His fan base is strong.
Well done to Ed Sheeran "Bad Habits" for stability on all 3 metrics and up to #3. Doing really well compared to the last 3 charted US 100 singles - Beautiful People #13 (2019), South of the Border #49 (2020) and Afterglow #29 (2021).
It's good to see new acts come onboard to the chart - Congrats KSI #86 and Nessa Barrett #88. Hope to see Sueco on next week.
