Skrillex rarely sings on his electronic songs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think this was the last time he had vocals on a track he also produced

Yeah, I’d put him in the same category as Mustard, Benny Blanco, or any number of EDM producers out there in that he is primarily a producer, not a singer. I suppose he could do a Calvin Harris or Chainsmokers sort of thing where he uses his limited vocals to enhance a song, but that’s not what he’s chosen to do here.

I will say it’s weird to see him release high-profile music under his own name again since most people familiar with the name “Skrillex” immediately associate it with his pioneering of dubstep in the early 2010s. (Yes, I’m aware he had Jack Ü after that, but that always felt more like a side collaborative project to me.)

Except she's not releasing her album on cd, which means it's digital sales or streaming or bust for her so far, unless she can sell a ton of vinyl I suppose.

Yeah I'm not on Twitter much but my friend said the Drake collab wasn't on the original release yesterday, it only dropped today. But even if it didn't exist, the album still would've performed great and would've likely gone to number one. This is just the cherry on top and he might actually debut in the Top 10. 

Now let's see if something goes viral on TikTok and Trippie actually gets a hit (Miss the Rage should've done better).

It's good that Aaliyah is finally on streaming services not sure really sure the numbers are enough to get her to chart. One in a Million is the highest on AM and even it's only at #42. Her next song - If Your Girl Only Knew - is all the way down at #97. And no songs debuted on the Spotify charts shockingly.

A top 10/20 debut should be out of the picture. In addition to releasing the Drake feature a day late, Trippie Redd's Apple Music page is glitching. You can't play any songs off the album and Betrayal has dropped from the US Apple Music top 1500 already.

Trippie's career is honestly probably the second biggest wasted opportunity in recent years. He could've been a name as big as Lil Uzi, Future or Young Thug, but he just isn't, and I don't really get why. It's not that he isn't successful, he definitely is, but he isn't as successful as he could've been. I suspect that it was probably that Juice took the niche left by X after his passing before Trippie could've really set himself up for success.

The biggest wasted opportunity is Shiloh Dynasty without a doubt, but I suspect that they just didn't want to pursue music or that lifestyle in general. They've amassed billions of streams simply by people sampling their music - which they haven't even officially released (hell, we don't know their name or what they look like nowadays). What makes it even more fascinating is that I genuinely think that Shiloh's influence is what largely paved the way for Juice and other artists in that lane. Rappers, alt acts, the e-girl/boy aesthetic in general, etc

One thing I have been curious about, what determines which tracks you omit from your list? For example today you skip tpositions 32, 41, etc, though there’s been multiple days I have seen you exclude songs in the teens and 20s. Wasn’t sure if they signified a stagnant song or what.

It's pretty subjective when I stop tracking songs but here's my general rules of when I stop tracking.

- Has had a run in the Top 10/Top 20 and I am confident not re-enter. I've continued tracking Peaches and LTDO because I still think there is a chance either could re-enter if songs above it weaken
- Has stalled in chart movement after 10 weeks on the Hot 100. This is usually for songs that debut big but falter; if after 10 weeks they continue to underperform and they dip past #50 mark on the charts, unless other boosts come I stop tracking. 
- Has reached it's peak in the charts/has stopped gaining points on radio or other formats
- Has dropped off the charts and will not re-enter in the up-coming weeks (this will change if say, an album drops like what happened this week; which is why I stopped tracking Miss the Rage until Trip the Knight made a noticeable impact)
- FOR ALBUM BOMBS: If a deep cut has dipped below the #100 mark, I will stop tracking it completely. I have made exceptions, notably for albums people were excited about like Planet Her and Happier Than Ever
- For Bubbling Under songs: if it looks like it definitely won't chart any time soon by losing a significant amount of streaming traction, I stop tracking.

There are also songs like Arcade which have poor streaming traction that they drop out of the Top 200 entirely, on a weekly basis but I have to continue to track whenever they re-enter because they are still gaining on the charts.

As I said, it's a pretty subjective list of rules that I make exceptions to all the time. Dont worry about which songs I stop trackin. Just let me do that and trust if a song stops appearing, it's for good reason

To be fair, he did work with both Juice and X and were close friends with them at one point so if anyone would be using them as features (but its gotta stop), at least its somebody who makes sense and it does feel more genuine, unlike Maroon 5 doing it and it feels like they literally pulled Juice out of the grave, or all those bloated features on that messed up Pop Smoke album.

It can't debut in the lower end of the Hot 100 because it's a recurrent regardless if it ever charted or not. Since it's 25 years old with no radio push, it would need to have enough points to make it into the top 50, which it won't.

Honestly I always found it silly that Billboard doesn’t allow old songs that have never charted on the Hot 100 to chart if they are ranking below the Top 50, Why should it matter how old the song is?, If the song never debuted on the Hot 100 before it shouldn’t be treated as a Recurrent.

^One of the few recent exceptions to that rule they did was for Hallelujah which Billboard allowed to debut at #59 after Leonard Cohen's passing away. Given that such exceptions are rare, I wouldn't count on Billboard on doing one, but there's always a small possibility.
