Happier Than Ever really is a Billboard Hot 100 hit that got away. I don't understand why Billie's team just won't send it to the radio. Also, I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but why wouldn't radio stations play some hottest tracks now automatically, like is the "labels sending songs to the radios" thing really necessary?

Also it looks like Don't Go Yet still has the potential to become a hit, it's rising and hitting new peaks in Europe and it also re-entered the US Spotify chart today.

Tell me you don't visit the pop forum without telling me you don't visit the pop forum. I'm sorry. I've been on several music forums for like 2 or 3 years but I've never actually thought about the question :(

Stay has peaked in streaming, and you can see that on the RS 100, where it hasn’t been #1 (or even #2) in a month. The iTunes discount, as well as its radio (I have no idea how it’s still gaining there at this point) is what is keeping it at #1. Once the discount is removed and/or it peaks on radio (and these things will happen at some point), Stay’s run at #1 on the Hot 100 will be done for good. Curious about your current obsession with the itunes discount Why do you think it is a factor at all? Most will believe that other than BTS songs discounted or not don't move enough to do anything at all.

Well the HTE era has 3 quick little weeks on the h100 top 10; let's say they used up the time the title track could have been allotted.

An unusual update that accentuated the losses by some songs that were already on the way down or that pressumably haven't peaked yet at radio. I would assume it is a one day blip for them.

These negative updates are long overdue. Stay and Bad Habits peaking on radio is long overdue, and there’s no good reason why G4u is still within striking distance of its radio peak. It’s time to move on from these old songs and let the newer songs shine.

I can’t believe the Blinding Lights fan wants old songs to leave radio now.

it's not radio - it is th itunes discount - or maybe its both - don't know
so sales and radio are the problem
Interesting to note - Blinding Lights chart run was stretched out because of radio
Streaming alone would have given it 87 weeks without recurrency and would have exited at 72 weeks with recurrency

Happier Than Ever debuted at maybe the worst position it could’ve debuted at. We were so so close…. and yet so far

Based on my research, looks like if my universe goes #1, bts would be the first artist in the soundscan era with 6 lead #1s in a 2-year time frame (2020-2021).
That core fanbase sure is very very dedicated...

Apparently some iHeart Pop stations chose to broadcast the Global Citizen music festival that's part of the UN General Assembly in New York instead of their regular programming, which explains a lot of the dips for big songs. Assuming that was the only day affected (similar to the iHeartRadio Festival last weekend), all those songs should see big recoveries tomorrow. (And from what I can tell, this event didn't directly affect any other formats besides Pop.)
Speaking of which, has iHeart or any of the other big radio corporations done anything like this in the past? I don't recall these broadcasts of festivals being a thing back when I started following the radio charts in 2019, though maybe they were in the past.

I heard the Global Citizen fest broadcasted on my city’s iHeart Pop station last night, and I remember as far back as 2015 this was a thing.

A Coldplay x BTS remix is coming. I– they couldn't even wait for Week 2? does this possibly mean they aren't selling enough singles to guarantee #1 yet? 👀 if so, I bet this remix will seal the deal. so embarrassing for c*ldplay to stoop this low for... one week of clout and relevance.
