You really can’t draw any picture from 1 hour of data. We’ve never had a first-hour number from a song on Spotify to know how much that usually translates to after 24 hours. Seeing as the music video will probably do 30-40 million first day, this should obviously probably do 10 million+ on Spotify globally though.

8M maybe. Wouldn't be shocked if it's closer to 10M though. The record falling means over 18M, so 20M WW seems like a safe bet but she's huge internationally so expecting 50% of the streams to come from the US is not realistic.

BTS's debut was filtered down to 11M after fraudulent streams were removed. Drake surpassed that with "Girls like Girls" 12.4M. But that's just debuts, I think Mariah has the record with AIWFCIY?

I don’t know if that 12.9k sales figure for IB is correct, considering it had 8 (discounted) versions on iTunes. But if the number is correct, it would rank right there with TMB’s first week as the biggest sales flop of 2021.

It isn't really a debate what's the biggest hit of the year. Stay will be the fastest song in history to reach 1B streams. Good 4 u not even close, even though it has performed incredibly well. Stay music video has almost surpassed Good 4 u on Youtube despite being released two months later lol. Stay was #1 in 21 countries, Good 4 u in 16 countries. Stay holds the record for most weeks spent at #1 on Billboard Global 200, it holds the record for most weeks above 100M streams on the same chart. In pretty much every metric Stay has performed a bit better than Good 4 u
