Can't believe it took me this long to realize the second Let's Go Brandon song isn't by the same guy. we literally have a grifter of a grifter. MAGA people are so unoriginal and creatively bankrupt There is also a third one as well. But that one couldn't even reach the top 10 of iTunes. I guess they were trying to cash in, but released too late. Anyway, I'm glad that Easy on Me has at least managed to return to #2 on iTunes. I count at least 5 versions of Let's Go Brandon Loza Alexander (original, extended, remix Godz Child) - #2, 39 & 10 on iTunes Bryson Gray - #1 on iTunes Forgiato Blow - currently outside of iTunes Top 100 Topher, D.Cure & the Marine Rapper - #24 iTunes Cameron Byfield - #75 iTunes

Winston’s got “Somebody’s Watching Me” predicted to debut at #97. Please tell me he’s not talking about the song by Rockwell that peaked at #2 in 1984 that gets a resurgence every Halloween.

Say So felt bigger in 2020 than just about every song outside of the top 5.

Say So felt bigger in 2020 than just about every song outside of the top 5. WAP, Life Is Good and Savage all felt equally or bigger than Say So imo.

I mean, they aren't comparable. positions peaked earlier on radio, and it spent 17 weeks in the top 10. That's like 17 weeks with at least 200 points vs FAA's 1 week. Also, IIRC, Forever After All spent half of its run outside of the top 40.

Billboard Top 10 from 35, 30, 25, and 20 years ago: November 9, 199101 03 Cream - Prince & The New Power Generation (1st of 2 weeks at #1)02 01 Romantic - Karyn White 03 05 Can't Stop This Thing We Started - Bryan Adams 04 07 Real Real Real - Jesus Jones 05 15 When a Man Loves a Woman - Michael Bolton 06 08 O.P.P. - Naughty By Nature 07 02 Emotions - Mariah Carey 08 12 It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday - Boyz II Men 09 04 Do Anything - Natural Selection 10 11 Set The Night To Music - Roberta Flack & Maxi Priest I remember Jesus Jones' "Real Real Real" plunging from number 4 to number 23, which was a massive drop for a top 5 hit at that time. It fell quickly from there, and if Soundscan had been adopted a few weeks early I doubt it would have made the top ten at all. Also, nice to see Prince's fifth (and final) number one. Probably wouldn't have gone to number one if Soundscan had been used then, but on the flip side his previous single "Gett Off" might have gone top ten instead of peaking at number 21 thanks to its solid sales.

Broccoli was so ahead of its time, that song could've come out this year and smashed God I love that song so much. Lived in DC at the time and EVERYONE was blasting it. A shame his most recent album was kind of a dud.
Please check out DRAM's Tiny Desk Concert; it's fantastic.

Despite hitting #2, it's almost completely forgotten about.

I was just listening to it earlier ironically. I think it’s one of the best hits of that year. It kind of gives me MKTO - “Classic” but make it 90s vibes. The duo, the one hit wonder, the song subject.

Finally another Planet Her song in the top 10. I still remember when Need To Know was just a promo single underperforming while Ain’t S**t was eating up streaming platforms, but now here we are with the opposite happening.

NTK never underperformed... it was YR that always looked weak. It's radio run has given it a long life tho.
But tbh if they had gone from KMM to NTK diectly, Woman would have probably reached top 10 by now too.

^Regarding the Hot 100 top 10 article, it has a mistake saying Way 2 Sexy dropped 5-6 this week. mikeymonster has it correctly staying at #6.

It kind of gives me MKTO - “Classic” but make it 90s vibes. The duo, the one hit wonder, the song subject. Natural Selection technically weren't one hit wonders though...follow-up single "Hearts Don't Think (They Feel)!" reached number 28 in early '92. "Do Anything" was a JAM though. Wish it wasn't so forgotten.
