Whoa-oh here she comes... Watch out boy, she'll chew you up... LOL I was just about to post that the only “Maneater” I can recall is the 80’s Hall & Oates one.

"Kiss Me More" for sure. I've successfully avoided "Bad Habits" upon disliking it on the day it came out. ain't nobody putting on Ed Sheeran at a party lol. but "Kiss Me More" was everywhere this summer/fall, heard it a couple times this weekend while I was out and about. I'm actually gonna defend Ed, I think you should give the song a couple more listens. I disregarded it as basic at first but it's actually pretty catchy and the bass goes kinda hard nope. I've already checked out his full album. kept 4 songs and "Bad Habits" is definitely not one of them. I've obviously heard the hook several times in chart videos, TikToks, IG Reels etc. I've just avoided hearing it in full (after giving it a couple plays when it came out—once on Spotify, and once with the video) because no one I know IRL & nowhere I've been to IRL played it (thankfully). taste is subjective and the song is clearly liked by enough people that it's going strong on the charts, but it's the worst lead single Ed Sheeran has ever put out imo. can join "I Don't Care (ft. Justin Bieber)" in the "songs I wish were never made" corner.

It's funny about Toxic, because in all the years since that came out, I was never aware nor has it ever sounded to me like a "Halloween song" in any way whatsoever, lol, in addition to several other songs in that list of updates, but re-reading the lyrics now I can kind of see it. Surprised though that Bad Romance isn't included in that list, as that for sure can definitely be considered a Halloween song.

I feel like this version of "Toxic" (I first heard it in Promising Young Woman—stellar movie btw) really highlights how eerie the melodies actually sound:

Thriller just managed to reach #1 on Apple Music.
It’s very low numbers at the top right now which obviously helps, but wow.

Speaking of Ed, are there any first-week projections for him? I am not seeing them anywhere.

Thriller to #4 at Apple Music, This is Halloween at #5, Somebody's Watching Me at #7 and Monster Mash at #9. Blinding Lights at #14: It still amazes me how well Blinding Lights is doing on all metrics and it would’ve probably still been charting if it weren’t for recurrency rules. Keep in mind of the context that all SYT and TMB has is the radio only which is kind of sad but i guess having 4 radio songs in the top 25 does that to you. Moth and/or the next single is really the only saving grace that The Dawn has right now.

Ghost by Bieber at #84 on Apple Music. I guess the title of the song is helping it?

It should be noted that Halloween falling on a Sunday helped those Halloween songs this year, as they took advantage of the losses most of the consistent hits take every Sunday.

Bad Habits was definitely the bigger song worldwide. Having said that Kiss Me More and Planet Her deserved #1 spots. I don't know what her team or label is doing by not making it happen so far.

Would be funny if Blinding Lights managed to re-enter with these gains. It's also top 20 on US Apple Music and still has solid airplay I think it has a chance of re-entering. The charts are so weak right now. When BL left Donda week, the #25 song had 125 points. This past week, the #25 song is only predicted to have 115 points. What also helps BL is that it is not a pure Halloween song (like Monster Mash, Thriller, etc), so its fall off throughout the rest of the week won't be as severe.

I'm really glad to see 2 Nelly Furtado's songs in the top 200. She really deserves it, because she gave us one of the most iconic eras of all time with "Loose".

Rolling Stone has finally cancelled their music charts. Any links to the charts now redirect you to the music section of their website and with that, Drake ranked as the #1 artist on the first and last published week of their Artist 500 chart. Welp.
