if these predictions hold up, this will be an interesting chart considering:
β’ "All Too Well" was first released in October 2012. β’ "Heat Waves" was released in June 2020. β’ "Cold Heart" is a mash up remix of "Rocket Man" (1972), "Sacrifice" (1989), "Kiss the Bride" (1983) and "Where's the Shoorah?" (1976). β’ "All I Want For Christmas Is You" was released in October 1994. β’ "Essence" was released in October 2020. β’ "Beggin'" was released by Maneskin in December 2017, and is a cover of a song from 1967. β’ "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" was released in 1958. β’ "Levitating" was first released in March 2020.
that's a lot of old songs & late-blooming new hits in the Top 25. a third of the list is over a year old, and 5 of them are from earlier decades.

Having now listened to 30 four times, I'm confused why either Oh My God or I Drink Wine were considered the next singles when My Little Love was right there! My Little Love is an amazing song and easily my favorite on the album but that would be an INTENSE song to play on the radio next to stuff like Kiss Me More and Cold Heart lol

We might be entering an age where older, unrecognized songs are just as likely to become hits as the new songs

But honestly, I think it was catchier than Easy On Me and definitely more powerful, and I think much more of an evolution for Adele than EOM, it would've signaled she wasn't doing the same thing as she did 6 years ago.

My Little Love is too polarising, the people that like it, love it, but read lots of comments saying it's the worst in the album for many and that the voices memos don't work. I'm in the later group and always skip it, it's easily the worst in the album for me so I can totally see why it's not the next single.

Canadian Content. It's a Canadian requirement that 40% of songs played on most radio stations are by artists from there.

How many weeks do we think "Easy On Me" will get at #1? I can see it staying #1 until a Christmas song takes over for a week or two. Then retaking the top spot for another week or so in the new year (it'll likely get an airplay boost from AC switching back to normal programming). There are a few songs looking to be big hits in the new year but none look like they'll challenge "Easy On Me" for a while.
Maybe she can dethrone herself with the video release for "Oh My God".
I am happy to see how big a hit "Easy On Me" has become. It's definitely grown into one of my favourite singles she's released now.

I really doubted its success at first but she played her cards well. The song's really connecting with the GP now. Looking at the current chart and the lack of big releases coming up, I think EASY On Me will EASily (haha funni) remain the biggest song into 2022 (Christmas songs excluded). The only song I could see maybe giving it some competition is Smokin Out The Window EDIT: My actual estimate is ~7 weeks at #1 (AIWFCIY is coming so that'll steal a few weeks)

Unless something else is rising soon it's gonna rise again to #1 the minute Xmas is over. Especially since it will regain ground on the HAC and AC formats dramatically.
Maybe it will match Hello's 10 week run?

It has held on well, but its streaming isn't overly great so all it would take is a big release or a viral hit to dethrone it. If nothing challenges it will be #1 for awhile because of the airplay already mentioned, but I can see something getting enough streams to make up for it.

It'll be dethroned by AIWFCIY either on the week of 12/18/2021 or on the week of 12/25/2021, and I don't see it lasting more than a week or two in #1 into the new year now that Oh My God is going to being promoted. I could easily see her dethroning herself if it gets a video release in January. This would make it an 11 or 12 week #1 if you exclude Christmas songs by virtue of them being guaranteed every year.

LTDO and Montero are expected to go recurrent this week. Levitating, Chasing After You and You Should Probably Leave are also on the cusp.
Since Cedric hasnβt posted his full predictions yet, I think itβs safe to say that ABCDEFU will be a lock to debut below the top 50. Do It To It, Enemy, and By Your Side are also possible, but I think they have a better shot next week. Same goes for any of the Amazon-exclusive Christmas songs that pop up every year.

It's still rising on country radio, but if this song dropped too much in position then it could be out temporarily. On the other hand, can Never Wanted To Be That Girl or Heart on Fire debut this week?

On the other hand, can Never Wanted To Be That Girl or Heart on Fire debut this week? I suppose it's possible, but it will be somewhat of a challenge due to (or even in spite of) all the upheaval going on in the top 50. I think HOF has a better chance than NWTBTG, as it's had a more consistent rise on the Bubbling Under, whereas I think the latter was only able to get on the BU recently thanks to its CMAs sales boost and might drop back a bit this week.
