Isn't Fairytale of New York a popular Xmas song in US? It's very popular in UK.

Who's botting his song though? Who would be interested in that?

I can't believe Bing Crosby actually faked his streams like what happened yesterday lmfao Yeah sure Bing Crosby did just that, I guess he just decided to come back from the dead only to stream "White Christmas" over a million times, And just so that his song could spend 1 day at #1 on the US Spotify Chart....

Wait, Imagine Dragons have a song in the Top 40 on Spotify?! I thought for sure that they were done for. Maybe they could actually have a hit in 2021/22.

Juice Wrld is releasing on December 10. Also Polo G’s deluxe edition of Hall of Fame on 12/3. well when the album dropped, that week it had one song in the spotify top 20...

Considering that's what people thought after Smoke + Mirrors flopped, and then they came back with two top 5 hits in a row, I honestly wouldn't count Imagine Dragons out until they've retired from making music completely tbh. They have always been one successful use of their songs in a commercial away from a big hit. Truly the Maroon 5 of Alt

Unironically this makes more sense than people organically deciding to stream white christmas en masse yesterday

The way Spotify creates chaos despite being only 1 streaming platform, and then streaming only being 1 of 3 metrics... The most popular one by a huge margin, and Amazon is what generates the hugest stream amounts for Christmas songs

And what is a single in 2021? I see all these posts about singles, and the single appears to be whatever people stream the most

A song can be #1 on Spotify but not #1 on the Hot 100 or even in overall streaming. My post was in reference to people jumping the gun on specific songs simply because they have a good day on Spotify.

I’d say that Enemy should be a hit, but whoever’s pushing their singles to pop radio is not getting the message and somehow thinks Follow You is still relevant.

Spotify is also the only outlet with daily numbers available to us. Of course people will analyze it more than the other streaming platfor s.

Is this being pushed in the US while "Fine Line" is being pushed internationally?

I swear they've been pushing Falling for like a year and a half I wonder if its a situation similar to Bruno Mar's "Chunky", which was being pushed in Oceania before "Finesse" for a bit but got random adds on radio stateside for no explicit reason.

Is this being pushed in the US while "Fine Line" is being pushed internationally? that song is so old and has more than likely peaked on streaming.. why do they not just release a new song

Harry is rumored to be releasing a new single very soon with the album dropping in February to coincide with Valentines Day. Of course take this with a grain of salt as it is simply a rumor right now.

Truly the Maroon 5 of AltImagine Dragons in 2015 wasn't nearly as hated as Imagine Dragons became after Evolve and Origins. By 2019 they were already being called the next Nickelback, and songs like Bad Liar and Follow You flopping seemed to confirm that. Enemy hitting the Top 40 on Spotify is a real shock to me, especially since we're in the Christmas freeze now.

The biggest screw up Harry made with Fine Line was making Lights Up the lead single. Golden should have been the lead single, and maybe Falling could have succeeded as a fifth single earlier in the year.

Golden should have been the lead single, and maybe Falling could have succeeded as a fifth single earlier in the year. Does it really matter at this point? Fine Line was a huge success and the singles that were seriously pushed were also successful, Adore You was big, Watermelon Sugar was huge and Golden had moderate success. I'm sure Harry or his team isn't losing sleep over Lights Up's performance. Although Lights Up did peak in the top 10 in Australia, New Zealand, parts of Europe and even peaked in the top 20 on the Hot 100.

LU did not receive a radio push either so it did fine for what it was.

You can thank(?) the success of Arcane for Imagine Dragons getting another streaming hit. (Also y'all need to watch Arcane, it's so fucking good)

I actually agree with you about people jumping the gun about Spotify on here. They do that because their favorites are not performing well anywhere else most of the time, and they are usually not even performing well on Spotify the majority of the time. That is why they usually focus on the positions but not the numbers even when the numbers are really weak even at the top right now
