You can't blame Radio too much. Taylor's team wanted to promote Message in a Bottle over All Too Well, presumably just so that her new vault songs didn't get overshadowed - which is fair and understandable (though she should've sent Nothing New instead).

Let's hope though that she eventually does push All Too Well

Yeah very likely a glitch, or maybe intentionally rigged to play WC at a much higher frequency than other songs. I'd imagine the shuffle feature on all streaming playlists are toyed with in that way, with labels jockeying to have their songs played more often or the streaming platforms themselves favoring certain songs over others because it makes them more money, which would make it more like a terrestrial radio station more than anything. Not exactly sure how it works, but like, does every song on a playlist really have an equal chance of getting played when shuffle is on?

sheardbeard- that would be nice, though her current age is irrelevant to the feat. Same for other old holiday songs reaching new heights. It's not like scoring a fresh hit at whatever age they are. At this point, it's expected/default that the same old holiday classics will scale the charts, reach the upper region, similar weekly positions to comparable weeks of past seasons, etc.

Interesting that the older Christmas songs are gaining more ground. To me this indicates that older audiences are getting more aquatinted with streaming, causing these upticks every year. It will be interesting to see if in 5 years Mariah will still be the biggest Christmas song, or will these older ones gain on her.
