I guess I don't mind both female legends taking the throne but I want All I want for Christmas to have the most weeks at #1 towards the end of the decade. It deserves.

I just don't see how any holiday song tops Mariah. Not only her song more popular, but Mariah is more visible during this time than anyone. Her promotion during this next month is amazing. Apple, Netflix, McDonald’s, etc etc etc. a tour de force

Make that a 58-1-23-13-3 run on Spotify over the last 5 days. Although this is a bit fishy, 2 straight increases and a return to the Top 3 is starting to show that the day at #1 may not have been a fluke after all.

I believe I found the reason for White Christmas' unusual behavior on Spotify. It appears that the musical "Holiday Inn" by Irving Berlin is playing in several cities. White Christmas is included as part of it. Although, it doesn't explain the volume of streams we are seeing for it.

I honestly think it’s Spotify being very glitchy with its shuffle feature for Christmas playlists as others have pointed out.

Also, Super Gremlin debuted on Spotify today while it continues to do well on AM. As someone who thought Kodak Black was done as a major mainstream act after mid-2019, needless to say, I’m not happy we’re giving him attention again.

I just realized the period they used was between October 16, 2020 - October 15, 2021. So it's not a surprise to see songs like Dynamite, For The Night and Positions that high

The release is SotW and the album helped LTDO stay on a few more weeks. Had they stuck to the plan of releasing the album in early 2022, LTDO would have fallen off the charts 3-5 weeks earlier.

The fact White Christmas gained when literally every other Christmas song dropped is very suspicious. Christmas song movements are usually in tandem, there should rarely be an outlier. There's absolutely something inorganic/glitchy going on and I would not be surprised if there's significant filtering done by Billboard.

It appears that the recent gains for "White Christmas" on the Daily US Spotify Chart might actually be legitimate, The fact that it managed to rise in streams again after it fell from #1 to #23 should prove that it's recent daily streams might actually not be fake. dremolus - solarpunk, I think that it's perfectly normal for these other Holiday songs in the Top 200 of the Daily US Spotify chart to have all declined in Streams. So what if "White Christmas" is the only Holiday song that managed to gain in streams on today's Spotify update, That shouldn't make it suspicious.
