If there's no major release this month then unless something unexpected happens Heat Waves will be the YE #1.
That makes me kind of curious - since Dave Bayley wears glasses, who was the last glass-wearing artist to score a Year-End #1? I don't really know how to phrase this question since even Abel wears glasses occasionally, but they aren't really a part of his image, as they are for Dave, and that's what I'm mostly asking about

I don't really know how to phrase this question since even Abel wears glasses occasionally, but they aren't really a part of his image, as they are for Dave, and that's what I'm mostly asking about Also in the "sometimes wears glasses" category with The Weeknd: Pharrell Williams ("Happy," 2014) apl.de.ap ("I Gotta Feeling," 2009) The last artist with a Year-End #1 who regularly or nearly-always wears glasses is T-Pain ("Buy U a Drank," 2007). HOWEVER, while he's a glasses-user today, at the time he was always either in sunglasses or no glasses. So depending on whether you count that, let's keep going backwards... Elton John ("Candle in the Wind 1997/Something About the Way You Look Tonight", 1997) ^ I think he pretty indisputably meets your "glasses as part of his image" criterion

1989 (TV) is going to be really big. The question is whether Shake It Off, Style, or Wildest Dreams goes to #1. almost certainly Style if itβs given a real MV and a potentially a feature

1989 (TV) is going to be really big. The question is whether Shake It Off, Style, or Wildest Dreams goes to #1. almost certainly Style if itβs given a real MV and a potentially a feature I highly doubt that'll happen. I get Style is one of her best songs of all time and just like All Too Well, it's a beloved fan favorite but the thing that ATW has that Style doesn't was that ATW is fan secrecy and backstory. All Too Well was a deepcut so it's not as exposed as Style was. More to the point, All Too Well was originally meant to be 10 minute song and the added runtime changes the song because its a story song. I love Style but its not a song that really tells a story and I don't think it'll work as an elongated song. What i think will be the standout from 1989 is Clean. Clean is the fan favorite deepcut from that album and if they push Clean as the lead single - a song most non Swifties don't know off - then we might have a number one.

Unlike you guys people actually like and respect Ed and want to collaborate with him. I'm more disgusted at the other way around. Why is Ed associating himself with a person like Kodak Black? Ed seems to be a generally good person. Kodak on the other hand... I've lost track on how many controversies and legal issues he's been involved with. I feel like this shouldn't be too surprising considering he had that cameo on that Lil Dicky song with Chris Brown. You know, the one with these lyrics: And now I'm in Ed Sheeran's body It's way less cool than being Chris Brown was

I personally don't think any of the Taylor's Versions will do as well as Red and All Too Well, but I'll hope to be proven wrong

that song is so cringe the only part I found funny was when (LD inside of) DJ Khaled said "im DJ Khaled" why am I yelling? Then I hurry to exit the video before hearing Kendall Jenner using the leftovers of T-Pain's autotune .

The fact that that song went #1 in the UK is, imho, a testament to why it's important to include radio as a chart metric alongside sales and streaming. Checks and balances and all that.

If you say so--You Right got another push on radio, Get Into It (Yuh) got a video, and so on. I think that Doja's label is doing more than enough right now. Tyga's label needs to step up, I would think.

Coming for #1 On the Bubbling Under. Joking lmao. I hope it has some pop appeal, she could use the CHR support that WS lacked. And that it's good and we can finally see the album drop.

Tyga's label needs to step up, I would think. You Right isn't being pushed to radio again, it got a few high AI updates but it's back to normal now and a video for a song doesn't mean it's being pushed to radio. Woman is the active single from Planet Her.

Opiate2 was released by Tool today and is currently #4 at iTunes. It's an almost 10 minute re-release of Opiate.

Even if Dojaβs label were pushing multiple songs across multiple avenues, I think it can work in her favour. Radio is going to play her. Her name is familiar enough that people are interested without her being oversaturated yet. Why not strike while the iron is hot? The more songs getting exposure, the more promotion that ends up being for the album (and for her as an artist).

The only downside is that none are getting attention on their own to go #1. But it's fine overall. Her next lead might be a #1 contender.

I think they're doing a good job ensuring longevity for every song. Even You Right, which has been overshadowed by other songs on the album, has found its footing and is still charting 30+ weeks later. Woman could become a 52 week song considering its nowhere near its peak yet on radio.

All of a sudden, the top of this chart is getting exciting with abcdefu and Ghost being discounted on iTunes. It looks like it will be a 3-way race for #1 between Heat Waves, Super Gremlin, and abcdefu, while Ghost could enter the Top 5.

I donβt really have a problem with Kodak Black aside from his voice being annoying and his music being mid.
