So we’re looking for a female who had her own single in the top 10 and one she collaborated on from around 10 years ago. It could only have been Miranda, Carrie or Taylor right?
Or the person who wrote this tweet had no idea what they were talking about. Lol

“ Concurrently, HARDY’s “wait in the truck” (Broken Bow/Big Loud), fea- turing Wilson, is parked at No. 10 on the chart (19.6 million). Wilson posts a twofer for a third consecutive week. While 11 male acts have logged two con- current top 10s — most recently, Morgan Wallen, Mitchell Tenpenny and Luke Combs — Wilson is the first woman to achieve the feat.”
Sounds like that stat was wrong.

That said, while Miranda Lambert is a member of Pistol Annies, it's not quite the same as having two songs by the same solo artist in the top 10 concurrently like Lainey Wilson is.

Oh my bad then, I was RaeLynn who didn't get credit. Some reason I thought it was Pistol Annies. Which means Ashley Monroe has 2 number ones!

Is it wrong to think that this may be more in danger than "What He Didn’t Do"? She has Luke and Morgan right ahead of her and they’re both probably going to have multi-weekers. Carly is a little farther behind with a lot more room to coast down some, and once Bailey gets in front of her, there’s not much of a threat around her. Honestly wouldn’t be shocked if Lainey peaks at #2 on both charts and Carly waits it out longer and reaches the top on both charts. Obviously both of these songs deserve #1 but we shall see. Hmmm.

Honestly besides Morgan Wallen hitting #1 and Bailey Zimmerman hitting #1 I am not assuming anything for who hits #1 and who doesn't. I do think Lainey can make it to #1 on both charts but it feels impossible to predict right now.

I’m not sure about Lainey hitting #1 on both charts. I’m curious if Big Loud will try for a long #1 run at BB like they did with You Proof.
I do think Carly might be in a better position due to having room. After Bailey goes #1 she can afford to wait it out then gun for the top. Lainey is kind of sandwhiched.

Lainey is the current it girl at country radio, so if any female was gonna get pushed to #1, it'd be her. I'm not too worried currently. Her song has been doing very well and I could see a big push getting her to the top being mounted when the time comes.

I wonder if Lainey's label plan on pushing before or after Bailey. Because Bailey looks like he is going to pass her in the next day or so. If she is maxing before him then it is going to be very difficult to repass him, unless his spin increases slow down.

I think it's best she let him pass before her push. Also, when was the last time there were back to back #1's by female solo artists?

IIRC, 2021 when “The Good Ones” by Gabby Barrett and “Somebody Like That” by Tenille Arts went #1.

"SLT" actually peaked at #3.
Believe it or not, the last time that two solo women were at the top of Billboard was May of 2011, and the two songs were "A Little Bit Stronger" by Sara Evans and "Heart Like Mine" by Miranda Lambert.

I think that's with Billboard the statistic you have while "The Good Ones" and "Somebody Like That" factors in Mediabase.

I think we are going through another 2012-2015 like time where no woman gets a billboard number one if this does not make number one on billboard 😐

Good news, this moved up another spot to #3 on Mediabase becoming the highest solo female song on country radio to reach that accomplishment since Lainey Wilson's own "Things A Man Oughta Know".
Now for the bad news for this song, I am like 99% sure they are pushing this before Bailey Zimmerman and the gap between "Heart Like A Truck" and "Rock And A Hard Place" isn't good for Lainey Wilson's Billboard chances, as right now there is a 1104 spin gap between the two and on Billboard, "Rock And A Hard Place" has almost 5 million audience gap between the two. The good news for Lainey Wilson is that this next week will be Luke Combs second week at #1, then we should see Carly Pearce push week the following week, and then "Heart Like A Truck" take a crack at the top. Hopefully in those two weeks Lainey can shrink the gap between her and Bailey Zimmerman before the push week.
I do think Lainey can get the Mediabase #1 but I am not 100% on her getting the #1 on Billboard. Yes she is the current it girl at country radio, but that still doesn't guarantee a Billboard #1 (see Miranda Lambert/Carrie Underwood having to settle for Mediabase only #1s in 2013 through 2015 if they made it into the Top 5) and it doesn't help that Bailey Zimmerman has an absolute mammoth radio/streaming hit.

So glad to see this song still chugging along. I haven’t heard the album yet (oops lol), but this song is one of my favorites from the last year and I’d be ecstatic if this could get her to the top by herself again. What a win that would be.

Lainey is set to be the next co-host on CCUSA and it looks like Hardy will be the following week. I'm assuming Lainey's label will be trying to go for #1 singles back-to-back weeks. Obviously this is a very rare feat, but does anyone know how many artists have actually achieved #1 singles in back-to-back weeks?

I’m curious if they will get restricted to Mediabase only #1. like Carly probably is. Is Bailey even going to have an official push week?

Is Bailey even going to have an official push week?I’m wondering the same because I do know Parker is gearing up for max spins (seems like it’ll be right after Hardy). Given how dominant it has been in all channels, I wouldn’t be surprised if his label just took multiple weeks at #1 and not even worry about Mediabase (unless he naturally gets a week at #1).

God, it really is so painfully s**tty to see this happen time and time again for women on the country charts. Both this and "What He Didn't Do" looked like they should've easily hit #1 on BB's Country Airplay chart, but once again they have to run into hinky timing at the end of their chart runs so that all the mega hits from men can clog up the top and spend multiple weeks at #1 with no effort. There's of course still a chance this gets there and it certainly has a better shot than Carly Pearce, but f**k I'm so tired of seeing this be the outcome over and over again.

The sexism is f**king infuriating. I’m SO beyond tired of this happening. There are so many songs by these men that have hit #1 over the last year with no effort whatsoever that I don't remember a single note of, let alone who a great deal of them were by, while the women have busted their ass and put in effort, offering a side of country music that is intriguing and artistically unique to each one of them and have been rewarded with nothing. They’ve had to watch the sausage fest right in the end of what should’ve been #1 runs. It’s pathetic.
Both “What He Didn’t Do” and “Heart Like a Truck” are #1s in my eyes, regardless of what these charts say.

This literally kinda takes me back to 2013-2015 when Carrie was the only female they’d send to the top, and even then always restricted her to Mediabase only #1s.
Country radio HAS to be better. 2020 felt like the year of the woman, but now feels like they are slipping back to their same sh*t.

I will say if Lainey Wilson can gain what Carly Pearce did this week on Billboard (5 million in audience) and Bailey Zimmermann breaks even I do think "Heart Like A Truck" can nab both charts for #1. Here's hoping.

Ugh I swear if Lainey is now blocked after Carly was on Billboard… I don’t understand after how tomatogate became a thing years ago things haven’t changed much. If low-impact single from male artists can hit #1, there’s no reason why two of the buzziest female artists at the moment can’t do so.
