40. Cocaine - J.J. Cale Didn't even know there was an original til now. I still like Clapton's version more, because I have heard it 1000s of times. I just dig the song overall.
39. I'm Mandy Fly Me - 10cc First time I ever heard this band was on Casey Kasem's America's top 40 with their 1982 hit "The Power Of Love". These rds have tuned me on to some of their best works. This just feels like a song that could have sounded great sung by the Bee Gees for the 'Seargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band" movie soundtrack.
38. Come Dancing - Jeff Beck Good guitarwork but I don't have the patience for these Instrumentals.
37. Do You Feel Like We Do (Live) - Peter Frampton Here is an artist that for some reason or another only sounds good to me live ,and on that movie (you know which one).
36. The Hissing of Summer Lawns - Joni Mitchell "anti-Doc" hits the nail right on the coffin. Sometimes you listen to a song and just know which member is gonna be totally tuned out. I hope you guys who like this song gave it a little nudge up your list to block my tank. It's totally fair to do so, because I just couldn't.
35. You're My Best Friend - Queen ..and just as unsurprising would be this Queen song in my top 10. I've praised this song enough. moving on...
34. Let 'Em In - Wings This is alright for Wings catalog. I have always been bothered by the fact that I feel the song's bpms were slowed down on purpose. It just sounds a tad too slow at that pace.
33. In France They Kiss on Main Street - Joni Mitchell I'm not even sure is I'm in the clear yet? Hopefully that was my last tank dweller? I wanted to see if she actually had any Hot 100 hits and I found her one U.S. Top 10 hit "Help Me" and it wasn't too terrible, but we won't be ranking that one.
32. Takin' It to the Streets - The Doobie Brothers This one is just loads of fun. Actually feels like a song you could take to the street with a tail of people following you in chorus.
31. Show Me the Way (Live) - Peter Frampton Another classic from Peter. True story I don't have this vinyl in my collection which pretty much means my Dad didn't have it in his collection. This is a nice song I just feel Peter sounded a lot better covering the Beatles. Favorite Frampton "It's Getting Better" and "With a Little Help From My Friends"
30. Rock'n Me - Steve Miller Band I mostly remeber this song from the old Rhino Classic Rock collection Cds late night infomercials. I can't recall ever hearining in on KLOS? It's a good catchy rocker. I just hope the correect saors wayyyy higher.
29. Still the One - Orleans Cheesy weezy but easy to sing along to and fun as hell. It gets my vote. Also one of those I had toally forgotten about and never knew who sang till now.
28. This Masquerade - George Benson I didn't think this was too out of place for 70's, but it takes way to long to get anywhere and ends up being wayyyyy too long for it's own good.
27. Stairway to Heaven (Live) - Led Zeppelin Epic and classic but not my favorite Led Zeppelin tune. It is one of those super long songs that seem to go by in a flash because I do enjoy it from start to finish. I should have put this one in my top 10 instead, but then It wouldn't be truthful.
26. 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon I've never mentioned this as being a Paul Simon Favorite of mine because I never knew he sang it. It's a good song and I recognized it when he hits that chorus. A alright then. this one is better than "You Can Call Me "Al". Even with the Chevy Chase cameo.
Down two Top 10s , but I still wanna say I'm one tank clearer than yesterday?

extras:She's Gone - Daryl Hall & John OatesI love almost anything with Hall & Oates tagged to it.There style of Blue Eyed soul was a one of a kind sound. Many have tried from Backstreet Boys, NKOTB, Justin Timberlake etc.. The closet would be Fitz and The Tantrums first couple of albums, but Daryl Hall & John Oates were untouchable. Good song for any era. Might I add that Daryll looks creepy as hell in this video. A weird cross between Benjamin Orr and David Bowie. I'd Really Love to See You Tonight - England Dan & John Ford ColeyThis one is probably on KOST 103.5 greatest hits. It isn't terrible kind of like Eagles meet Air Supply with Joey Scarburry flying overhead. It needs some Christopher Cross attitude to make my playlist. Sara Smile - Daryl Hall & John OatesAnother good listen. Looking very Glam Rock on that album cover. Twisted Sister says hello. Slow Ride - FoghatAnother one of those rock staples on a classic rock cds. That riff is so intense. I know some of you don't drool over the heavier guitar rock classics that way I do, but I'm hoping this would have made the top 20 here? Let Your Love Flow - Bellamy Brothers I was expecting something out of my tune , but this wasn't half bad. It needed a little Dolly Parton on backups to get my full support, but I dig it. Cat's in the Cradle - Harry Chapin So this was the original? I only knew this song from Ugly Kid Joe. Not something I would come back to in either case.

Honestly, I prefer this album to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (based on the last time I heard it, anyway, which was a long time ago admittedly) 25

Probably should have been their third best performer, but I guess top 25 will suffice.
Kind of a shame that we'll never rank any of the Gabriel-era Genesis, but at least we got to Genesis right after, anyway, with one of their better songs post-Gabriel.

Unlike last year, at least I can say that the right Steve Miller song is highest this time...though, really, that's no surprise.
This is fairly inoffensive, anyway, and I probably underranked it a bit.

Instrumentally solid, as just about every EW&F song is.
Lyrically...

I did not think this would be my first top ten loss, but, ngl, I'm kind of glad it is. It means two songs I was more worried about made the top 20 instead.
I would have preferred that the other consensus "this song's overrated" song went out first, but I expected that one to last longer, anyway.

I wish that he tried to replicate his other remaining song more often than he would this one later, but, if this had been a one off, it would have been a fun little romp of a one off for Boz.
