The follow-up to his #1 R&B hit "Private Line" saw Gerald Levert team up with his father Eddie Levert of The O'Jays. It made the Top 40 on the Hot 100 and helped the Private Line album go platinum.

it will be interesting to see how Sylvester the Molester fares when we're dealing with songs people actually cite when trying to justify his legacy, as it were, but the Aaron Hall leftovers will not be what tests anyone's morality today.

Troop's cover of Sweet November borders on painful. Troop is doing too much to show they can sang and not enough to show they feel what they are singing, and the attempt to 'modernize' the production with a 90s touch does not hit the mark.

This extra was the follow-up to her #1 "Emotions". It topped the AC chart and peaked at #2 on both the R&B and Hot 100 charts. An updated version was released on Rick Ross' 2015 album Black Market titled "Can't Say No" with new vocals.

Mariah and co-writer/co-producer Walter Afanasieff were later sued for copyright infringement, accused of taking "Can't Let Go" from another song titled "Right Before My Eyes". The matter was later dropped.

I would've put "Honey Love" last regardless. That more dramatic/"expressive" side of Kelly's voice is very hit-or-miss for me, and on that song it's a miss.

I still love "Slow Dance" tho, I'm sorry.

28. Here I Go Again - Glenn Jones

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Glenn Jones started out as a gospel singer before getting his big break singing on the Norman Connors song "Melancholy Fire". His best known song came with the release of "We've Only Just Begun" in 1987, but his biggest hit on the R&B chart came with the release of "Here I Go Again". This R&B charttopper was also his debut single on the Atlantic label.

"Don't Be Afraid" was the first solo single for Aaron Hall after Guy went their separate ways. From the soundtrack to the movie Juice, it topped the R&B chart and came close to reaching the Top 40 on the Hot 100.

There a few versions of this song. The one used in the music video is the Nasty Man's Groove version.

28. Oooh danggg, I did not remember putting "Here I Go Again" so high at #14. :o Wow this must have been one of my favorite new discoveries. I wasn't too familiar with this song but I do really like the sound/feel of the song from listening to it here. Ugh, I do wish it had ranked higher than this. :( I do agree with divasummer's comment on this.

27. I enjoyed Tevin's "Alone With You." It wasn't amongst one of my top faves hence my #22 ranking but still enjoyed it. I forgot which Tevin song I ranked higher of his two, so I'll be looking forward to that, haha.

26. Ughh noo, so sad "Don't Be Afraid" showing up already as this was another one of my favorite new discoveries so I wish this was higher too.

25. Okay yayy one of my lower ranks of "Right Now" shows up. Nice song but this was one that didn't really stand out to me.
