GREAT Top 2! And YES to 1977, that year was stacked with some classics! Thanks Soulsista for a great rankdown.

Dang I wanted that crown :( but "My Lovin" is great too
At a glance the list of 1977 number ones doesn't look as strong as the first two 70s years, but hoo boy, there is going to be a grudge match at the top between a few total juggernauts

Thank you Soulsista for an entertaining rankdown as always! Love En Vogue and Mary J but it's "interesting" when 7 Number One rankings (the most by far) can only get a song 7th place.

5. Ooof, I feel awkward being the only one ranking "Diamonds And Pearls" in their Bottom 5. I'm sorry you all, please don't ban me from here, lmao hahaha. This is a nice and good song but while listening to it, it didn't really do much at all for me hence my low #28 ranking. I'm sure it's a classic song but it wasn't a Prince song I remember or grew up on. Of the Top 5, I'm glad this showed up first though I wish it showed up sooner. But it's really cool how this got 10 Top 5 and 19 Top 10 ranks. :o 4. Ah I was just one spot off from a perfect rank for TLC's "Baby-Baby-Baby," but oh well. This is a beautiful and nice early old school jam from TLC. Love this song from them and glad to see it making it so high here. 11 Top 5s and 20 Top 10 ranks is really impressive here! And even cooler and more impressive how this doesn't have any Bottom 15 rankings. :o 3. I love Michael's "Remeber the Time" but with this being my #8 rank, it wasn't quite the song I was rooting for to win this game so I am fine with it not winning. But still this is a great jam and such a classic from him. 13 Top 5s and 22 Top 10 ranks is really impressive! Nice that this has the 3rd lowest standard deviation too. SUCH an ICONIC Top 2! My #2 vs #4, both amazing and epic songs! <3 2. Really love Mary J's "Real Love" and glad to see it rank so high. Since this was my #4, I was rooting for it to come in 2nd to my other choice so I am glad it did. Although I woudln't have been mad if this one. Mary did her thing on this song and truly made a name for herself here. 4 #1s, 16 Top 5s and 21 Top 10 ranks is really fantastic. Nice at the 6th lowest standard deviation too! 1. Reallly love En Vogue's ""My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" at #1. If my #1 couldn't win, as it was wayy too polarizing to win, I am veryyy glad and happy to see this win. This is such a fun, iconic and memorable jam from En Vogue. Wow at 5 #1s, 20 Top 5s and 26 Top 10 ranks is insanely amazing! :omg: And wow, 2nd lowest standard deviation is amazing. Such a fantastic song and deserving winner here! This was so fun to be apart of! Thanks for hosting this, soulsista!
