Oh I was hoping Joji could top streaming at least, but that'll be nigh impossible next week.

He's about to disrupt the top 10 again as well as break the Hot 100.

I wish he waited one more week to make sure that Bad Habits didn’t get a 53rd week on the chart. Oh well, I hope enough songs from the Drake album stay high enough in Week 2, so that BH doesn’t back door into the Top 25 in Week 53.

High-key ig the album isn't better than CLB and Scorpion I could see it being the last straw and the beginning of a downwards spiral for Drake

OMG Drake. Didn't see that one coming. This better be an improvement on CLB, because that album was not it.

Well… TIDAL was the first to announce this new album/era anyway. Whatever the case, the album isn’t going on Spotify until day 2 or 3 like “Lemonade”. One thing Bey’s gon’ do is stick by her man! 💀 I don’t think so this time around. Apple Music and Spotify all promoted the pre-saved link. As a matter a fact, Apple Music confirmed the 16 tracks. She’s really approaching this album differently and it will very interesting to see her streaming numbers Well then… 👏🏿

will as it was pull a stay and be the lone non-drake top 10? Probably not because Glimpse of Us is very strong, and so is Running Up That Hill, First Class, Wait For U, and About Damn Time. I can see 6/10 this time around for Drake.

New Drake and new Beyonce, and this is happening in 2022…
Imagine telling anyone in like late March that really soon you would have 4 straight album bombs that generated massive streams and multiple top 10s, 2 songs that almost broke the streaming record in a day, and Kendrick finally coming back after 5 years since his last album. Then on top of that we have an 80s song that sees a massive resurgence thanks to a show’s anticipated season that finally came out after almost 3 years (and could challenge for the top spot), Lizzo actually coming through with a big hit, Joji seeing some great streaming success, and Beyonce coming back after 6 years since her last album. 2022 (so far) is the literal definition of “got us in the first half”.

couldn't at least one of these f**kers have dropped in Q1 It’s because of the seasons, I reckon. People want new music for the summer and the holidays, just like with movies back when theaters were still relevant. No one wants new music for the dead of winter (or at least that’s what labels think). Whatever, I’m just as disinterested in these constant album bombs as when the charts have nothing going on for weeks on end. I’m already following international and genre charts way more than the Hot 100 these days anyway, it’s far more interesting and fun, and introduces me to several new favorites I wouldn’t have noticed if I only ever followed the Hot 100 or even the US Spotify charts.

Whatever Knocks Heat Waves out the top 10 . Bring it on! Still Hoping it doesn't beat Blinding Lights record.

Well this is quite unexpected. How many top 10s he getting? At least 5 right? Scorpion scored 7 top 10 hits. Certified Lover Boy scored 9 top 10 hits. Take your guess.

Still Hoping it doesn't beat Blinding Lights record. well, the last time, Drake debuted with 17 songs in the top 25 (all 17 songs over 190 points), so it might go outside of the top 20, or even 25, who knows such a shame Stay will be at 50 weeks then... omg, I'm totally phieaglesfan with this post.

14 tracks, just like Dark Lane Demo Tapes. That’s a great length for an album and thank god it is. Also this is the first time a studio album of his was a surprise drop so i’m guessing he’ll probably just do 4-5 debuts in the top 10 this time.

Am I the only one salty that this would push down RUTH and Glimpse of Us down further? Well anyway I will listen to the Drake album at midnight anyway to cope.

This surprise Drake release is just, a little perplexing... I don't know how to react to it. Like, it's nice to be back in the swing of things with all these big artists releasing, but was anyone really asking for more Drake, a mere 9 months after his last studio release?? I'll probably end up listening to at least some of it solely because of curiosity, but my excitement for it is almost zero, and I do not expect the quality or its chart performance to be an uptick from CLB.

This seems a little optimistic. It's skyrocketing on radio but still way behind As It Was & First Class on streaming and I'm just not sure it will be able to catch them there. Best hope is that they've both freefalled by that point but I think at least one will still be getting like 26k & ADT will get blocked #3 or maybe #2 seems the highest possible So, you expect the song to decrease in streams the week that she puts out her project instead of reaching a new high? That is just foolish. 25,000,000 streams and 100,000,000 airplay will be more than enough for the number one. That is assuming that new songs that are contenders for the number one do not emerge by then Forgot that was her project week. Damn thats shady of Beyonce to drop the same week. But hey at least it isn't Drake!!!

Beyoncé's drops 7/29. the only other project I am aware of on 7/29 is Maggie Rogers, who is not known for being a hitmaker (yet). I do think she might have had a shot at a #1 album in a slow week, but obviously will have to settle for runner-up at best now.

Wait whyd the other guy say it was her project week then omg im confused Lizzo might hit #1 then although I'm not sure she's the sort of album artist who could get a big enough bump. I could see it bring a Planet Her situation where KMM really didn't get anything from the album & instead it was used to springboard the followup to success
