Lizzo might hit #1 then although I'm not sure she's the sort of album artist who could get a big enough bump. I could see it bring a Planet Her situation where KMM really didn't get anything from the album & instead it was used to springboard the followup to success this. People talk about that album bump like she's Drake or something. Also, Ed is bigger than Lizzo, and he didn't score #1 with Bad Habits on the album release (#5 ➡️ #4).

I still think ADT's chance at #1 is not going to happen. Now we got Drake in the mix too...

I will always wonder, though, if KMM would have been #1 if Doja had released the album that week of the LTDO/Levitating debacle. Planet Her would have been #1 on the 200 for sure.

Doja and her label didn't even care enough to push her #2 album to #1 on weak weeks. They have allowed the project to organically peak instead of artificially inflating peaks.

This'll be the final week I track Bad Bunny and Harry's albums for the daily updates. I may still track them on a week to week basis but with most of the deepcuts not charting and Drake's album coming tomorrow, it's just gonna be easier for me.

I would have zero idea that Lizzo is releasibg an album if not for this forum. I don't think the album is likely to do above 70-80k, so the bump - which will last a day or two - won't really help it much

This should be in the top 10 in the next day or two Who was the last artist to land five top 10's on the overall airplay chart from one album? There's not many artists that even have five songs become hits from one album so it'd be hard to find (if there even were any) but if I had to guess, probably Katy Perry for Teenage Dream.

Forgot that was her project week. Damn thats shady of Beyonce to drop the same week. But hey at least it isn't Drake!!! it's not? Lizzo's album drops 7/15. Beyoncé's drops 7/29. the only other project I am aware of on 7/29 is Maggie Rogers, who is not known for being a hitmaker (yet). I do think she might have had a shot at a #1 album in a slow week, but obviously will have to settle for runner-up at best now. looks like she doesn't care we will be streaming Surrender and Renaissance on 7/29

That's very surprising, wouldn't have thought Red Pill Blues right away, especially with Wait also going top ten on radio but only reaching #24 on the Hot 100. I guess we all know radio really loves Maroon 5. The most recent example I could think of other than that was 1989. Not in the past few years, but historically it's actually been very common for albums to produce 5+ top ten radio hits (and by extension 5+ top ten Hot 100 hits), mostly occurring roughly between 1980 and 2015.

Kate Bush and Joji had the two biggest songs on US Spotify this week. What is this timeline?
Besides that, Doja continues to rack up hits with Vegas gaining 40%, while I Ain't Worried proves more and more to be the better Top Gun: Maverick song by climbing up 53%, 'Til You Can't continues it's late streaming run with a boost of 19%, and 5 Foot 9 builds momentum with a 15% increase.

Doja and her label didn't even care enough to push her #2 album to #1 on weak weeks. They have allowed the project to organically peak instead of artificially inflating peaks. which is respectable af

Joji clearing BTS on the Hot 100 is the greatest gift 2022 can give to me after their run last year

Didn't stop them from using those claims last year despite blocking another asian artist (Olivia Rodrigo) from #1 for 10 consecutive weeks.

Good point, I'd expect a delay for the hot 100 tomorrow since Juneteenth is a national holiday Only 30% of private employers have Juneteenth as an employee holiday. It’s still new, but quickly gaining acceptance. We’ll see if Billboard follows.

I wonder if Juneteenth gonna effect the charts being released Tuesday since most will observe it tomorrow???? For what it’s worth, last year’s Hot 100 on Juneteenth week was revealed on Monday (and this is with the radio tracking week ending on Sunday): The charts were delayed on 4th of July weekend, Christmas, and New Year’s weeks.
