It would be wild if predictors had Yet To Come and Glimpse Of Us basically tied in their predictions only for Yet To Come to be at like #17

I found it funny when people said they'd be able to "work around" the new rules. I think it was pretty obvious how hard it'd affect them (although, the label made no effort to provide them with extra versions this time to be fair, still would have only cracked the top 10 and nowhere near #1).

Fraud really lost, too bad Billboard did not act quicker. They should have applied the new rules in August 2020 when they made the bundles changes...

Take a look at Twitter, the ARMY is pissed. Calling the Hot 100 payola because of radio, ignoring two Top 10 hits right now (Running Up That Hill & Glimpse Of Us) are basically only held up by streaming right now.

In my opinion, Billboard should have applied those rules in January 2020 when they removed UGC from the Hot 100.

I don't think they realized how bad it would get at that point. Billboard is usually reactive rather than proactive with their rules. They don't do anything until it becomes a problem.

In early 2020, the 4 sales per customer rule was not a problem yet, but it should've been obvious by August that manipulation would only get worse as stans became more engaged with the charts after the events that transpired in May. Too bad they lack foresight and ruined the integrity of their charts for a long period, it will always remain a stain on them

In the latest Country Update, they gave streaming data for Wasted On You (11.9 millions) and Rock and a Hard Place (11.1 millions), and then stated the latter being #1 on Country Streaming Songs. They really think they can get away with it without explaining the streaming tiers huh

Does streaming chart also apply the different multipliers for free and paid users? Or just the total streaming activity regardless if free or paid?

yup. "Get Into It" will become the 5th single to pass 30 weeks on the Hot 100 in 2 weeks, and it's still on the rise. might join the other 4 in the 40+ weeks club, where Planet Her is already the first and only album in HISTORY by any artist to produce 4 of those impressive runs.

a lot of people wanted to brush Planet Her as a "mid" project last year when it came out but I always believed in it. a full year later & she's still dominating the airwaves and streaming when even Olivia Rodrigo ran out of steam.

So, Wasted On You got bumped up a spot (from 12 to 11). I wonder where Stay went. And Flower Shops did better than the predictors expectations (and actually gained in points to make sure it avoided recurrency). But I'm still salty about Broadway Girls going recurrent in Week 21 despite a 10% gain that week. Broadway Girls is so much better than Flower Shops. I know BG would have went recurrent the following week anyways, but the rule is so inconsistent. The rule needs to be clarified "a song must either be in the Top 50 or gain x percentage in points during Weeks 21-52 to avoid recurrency". Not arbitrary gain on radio (and in some cases, that gain is stagnant).
