Apparently, Steve Lacy got his first Hot 100 entry this week. Dark Red deserved.

He did chart in Bubbling Under at #1 as a featured act along with Frank Ocean on Tyler the Creator's “911 / Mr. Lonely” according to the Chart Beat article posted for him today.

I disagree, I'm a pretty big fan of most of her work (though I'll admit Unstoppable might not be my favorite) and really enjoy her unique, soaring vocals. She's had four really big top 10 hits in either lead or featured roles over the past 10 years (Wild Ones, Titanium, Chandelier, and Cheap Thrills), plus several other milder successes, all to pretty decent critical acclaim, so I don't think someone with that level of success would be considered boring by most of the public. As for Music, it was a pretty serious misstep, but I don't think a cancelable offense, plus I don't think many people even know about it.You mustn't be on twitter then I think that's the point. Twitter cares about a lot of things, but the vast majority of those things are cared for by precisely no one who isn't terminally on Twitter. The fact of the matter is, the average person doesn't know Music even exists, let alone the controversy surrounding it. Hell, just about every artist charting in the upper regions the last year or two had, at one point, been canceled by Twitter. That literally includes the artists at #1 and #2 currently.

I included Master of Puppets because it’s getting a full week of streams this week and Vegas (though less likely this week, more likely next week) because it’s getting adds on pop starting today. But yes, the lack of entries to the Top 25 is concerning and the charts look horrid. Unless Frank Ocean or Rihanna puts out their next album soon, I’ve pretty much conceded that Heat Waves, Stay, and Big Energy will be charting through the end of the Billboard tracking year in November, and possibly beyond.

I just learned that Unstoppable was a 2016 song. 🤦🏻♂️ Bruh, you JUST learned that. To be fair tho, I wasn't one of her more popular tracks before now. Also speaking of Unstoppable, can it PLEASE be a hit? It's one of Sia's best songs imo.

Tennessee Whiskey managed to get to 100 weeks at Hot 100 Recurrents. One day the chart is going to be weak enough that this song would have enough points to chart in top 50 on its own. (Also don't get me started on how under-reported the Diamond certification of this song is.)

Just a reminder y'all, I counted and there's only 18 songs with at least 20 weeks on the chart so I don't think we need a shake up.

And that’s certainly lowering given Bad Habits is probably going recurrent next week and several others are probably going recurrent in the next 10 weeks or so because of either the Beyoncé album bomb or the 52/25 rule (Super Gremlin, Shivers and That’s What I Want are in the first group, Cold Heart, Ghost, and Woman are in the other.)

(Also don't get me started on how under-reported the Diamond certification of this song is.) To make it even crazier, the song was never really a single so it never had huge airplay and doesn't even have an official video (I don't even think it has a lyric video).

Woman’s 53rd week will actually coincide with Beyoncé’s album, so if it takes care of that, SG, TWIW, and Shivers (songs I don’t really care for), I will be happy. I actually like Cold Heart, and since this may be Elton’s last time charting, I’m rooting for this one to reach the 52 weeks (which it will on the 9/10 chart). At 75, Elton will be the oldest to have a song reach 52 weeks.
