Adds include Z100 which is a good sign considering there is no official adds date.

Love that z100 is already on this. I hope this smashes beyond epic levels. I would love if it went to #1 on the hot 100 somehow.

It does kind of feel like "Bejeweled" would be the most exciting song to release to radio. Feels like she's going to just miss the mark again. But at least she got the first single correct this time around.

Idk I feel like Bejeweled would be a huge flop, and tbh I don't have much confidence in this either. Midnight Rain is the only other track I have any confidence in, but even then, I still don't think it would even reach Lavender Haze's heights. The album was so massive when it released that it basically blew its load already on the streaming and virality front for the majority of the tracks, which in turn would hurt its chances on radio (higher burn rate and whatnot).
I'm happy to see them at least try, though! I miss the days of long eras.

Bejeweled is like the worst song on the album though

Streaming is all about the long term and a post-release single does wonders even if the single doesn't necessarily peak high again on either the H100 or Spotify charts. For example, people dragged The Man through hell and back and before tour it was already oustreaming both YNCD and ME!. They keep trying because it yields results. Not because they think it will jump back to the Top 10 in 3 weeks

Wow. This is unexpected. This is one of my favorites off of the album but I would have really liked "Vigilante Shit" as the current single because that one coupled with an epic, cinematic video would be so iconic.

This is officially the next single from Midnights. The HITS Pop Mart section mentions that the adds the track received today were before the impact date, so it seems that these radio stations jumped on "Karma" ahead of its announcement as a single. Republic's Spangler and crew put 135 adds on Post Malone's newly released "Chemical," making it the #1 Most Added track for the week. Columbia's Gray and staff put 69 early adds on Miley Cyrus' "Jaded," and Virgin's Team Halpern puts 44 adds on NF's "HAPPY" (NF Real Music) upon impact week. Republic put another 38 adds on Jonas Brothers' "Waffle House," while Warner's Reich crew landed another 36 adds on David Guetta x Anne-Marie x Coi Leray's "Baby Don't Hurt Me" (Parlophone U.K.). Marella's Capitol bunch scores 30 early adds on Lewis Capaldi's "Wish You the Best" and 13 more stations on Toosii's "Favorite Song" (SCMG). Republic's third entry in the Top 10 is Taylor Swift's "Karma," which posts 24 adds prior to official impact. Columbia also secures another 12 adds on Labrinth's "Never Felt So Alone" as RCA's Team Rothschild picks up 12 more on P!NK's "TRUSTFALL."

Not because they think it will jump back to the Top 10 in 3 weeks Confused at "The Man" example? I think people rightfully dragged the song as a single choice (especially given the string of pisspoor single choices of the Lover era) and it's not as if its now surmounted said criticism with resounding success. It's still far behind both "YNTCD" and "Me!" in collective streams and even the fact it was streaming better than both pre tour isn't much of an accomplishment when it was her last single from her last pop album prior to Midnights and those two singles were dragged as well for various reasons. lol

We're over three years and three albums (five if we count re-releases) since Lover so I don't think it's doing these numbers because of some recency factor.

yay, pleasantly suprised we're getting a third midnights single !!! i've posted abt this before but i think this was *probably* the right choice since the bejeweled video already dropped, i hope this does well (even though i second the lyrics being. dodgy in places)

As much as I love this song, it’s a little hollow and the clean version doesn’t hit as hard as the OG ("Vegas acrobat" instead of "goddamn acrobat" was... a choice). Since that’s what stations will be playing, I don’t know if this could go too far. Rooting for it nonetheless, though!

thank god this is the next single, it’s the most poppy song left and it’s a bop despite the not so good lyrics lol Really? I think the lyrics are quite clever. Kinda like Kill Bill. I guess she was ahead of the curve when she said you wouldn’t know what she means lol idk, in my experience only ugly and fat people think it's well written

I don't think there are any hits left on the album, this is as good a choice as any.
I do agree that the lyrics are outright bad in places. And given her recent breakup, some of the lyrics are glaringly off now, lol. Which makes this a weird choice calling attention to it.

I would have gone with “Maroon” or “Midnight Rain”. Never been a big fan of “Karma”.

I need this to be huge so that they are incentivized to do a 4th and 5th single too! Midnights has held up as my favorite album from her and I just want to keep celebrating it as long as possible.

Is Taylor directing the video for this too? I kinda hope she doesn't just start directing all or most of her videos. Just because one can doesn't mean one should. As much as I love Taylor, I haven't *loved* the videos she's directed (outside "Cardigan" and "Bejeweled") and I still wanna see some visuals I'm obsessed with paired with her releases.
