This week's questions (Deadline Thu, Aug 24)Q1: Miley vs SelenerMiley and Selena both have music coming this week. Miley’s “Used To Be Young” and Selena’s “Single Soon” are both getting the full single treatment, with vinyls already available for pre-sale. Miley’s proven lately that she’s still a chart force. Since 2020: Midnight Sky (#13), Without You (#8), Flowers (#1). Can she follow up the success of “Flowers” with another huge hit? Selena: Her last album lead debuted at #1 (Lose You to Love Me). She’s kept a low profile on the charts since though, only returning relatively recently for “Calm Down” (#3). Has Selena’s committed music fanbase shrunk since 2019, or is she still a chart force? A) Where will Miley’s “Used To Be Young” debut? (9/9 chart) a) #1 b) #2 - 5 c) #6 - 10 d) #11 - 20 e) Outside the Top 20B) Where will Selena’s “Single Soon” debut? (9/9 chart) a) #1 b) #2 - 5 c) #6 - 10 d) #11 - 20 e) Outside the Top 20C) Which single will spend more total weeks in the Top 10? (9/9 - 12/30 charts) Feel free to answer "Tie" if you think they will tie, or neither will reach the top 10Q2: Zach BryanZach Bryan’s alternative country sound has proven successful on the charts. Since his first song went viral on YouTube just a few years ago, he’s had a couple of long-running streaming hits with "Something in the Orange" (#10) and :Dawns” (#42). His self-titled album releases this Friday, with a couple interesting features in Kacey Musgraves and The Lumineers. Can Zach build on his momentum and take advantage of country music’s big moment this summer? Will a song off Zach Bryan’s new album reach the Top 40 this year? (9/9 - 12/30 chart)

1a. E - I'm sorry Miley, but Drake. 1b. E - I'm sorry Selena, but Drake. 1c. Used to Be Young - I can see this holding strong and reaching the zone in subsequent weeks.
2. Yes - Oh, easily. The hype has only been growing. I could even see multiple top forty debuts for the album, even if only one sticks around.

1. A little hard to predict, but honestly I don't see a huge new appetite for either artist, and their recent hits have proven to be mostly one shots, with nothing else from Miley's album taking off and Selena also not having much other success since Lose You to Love Me 4 years ago. I could be wrong though. Nonetheless, I think the promo each is giving the other will help a little, and they'll probably open at similar levels, #11-20 for both, and I'm guessing both won't spend any time in the top 10.
A) d B) d C) neither will reach the top 10

1a. D 1b. E 2. Used To Be Young, I feel like it'll get support from the success of Flowers which I don't really see Single Soon getting, Calm Down is huge of course but it doesn't feel tied to Selena's persona the way Flowers does with Miley's 3. Yes

Q1: Miley vs Selener
A) Where will Miley’s “Used To Be Young” debut? (9/9 chart) e) Outside the Top 20
B) Where will Selena’s “Single Soon” debut? (9/9 chart) d) #11 - 20
C) Which single will spend more total weeks in the Top 10? (9/9 - 12/30 charts) Selena
With Miley's song supposedly being a ballad (I think), and being part of the same era (even though it's new), I don't think it will ignite the way "Flowers" did. Idk what Selena's song sounds like but I can see it outperforming Miley. Also, almost forgot about Drake.
Q2: Zach Bryan
Will a song off Zach Bryan’s new album reach the Top 40 this year? (9/9 - 12/30 chart) yes

This week's questions (Deadline Thu, Aug 31)Hey all, I’m super busy this week so sorry for no write-ups. Wanted to get a few questions out as the charts are actually getting interesting! Q1: Nicki MinajWhere will Nicki’s lead single “Last Time I Saw You” debut? (9/16 chart) a) #1 b) #2 - 5 c) #6 - 10 d) #11 - 20 e) Outside the Top 20Q2: Doja CatWhere will Doja’s new single “Demons” debut? (9/16 chart) a) #1 b) #2 - 5 c) #6 - 10 d) #11 - 20 e) Outside the Top 20Q3: Next #1The Sep 9th chart is proving incredibly competitive, with Zach Bryan, Luke Combs, Oliver Anthony, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift, and Doja Cat all competing for a #1. The Sep 16 chart could be even more of a bloodbath, with new music coming next week from Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and potentially Drake. Which artist will have the #1 song on the September 16th chart? (9/16 chart)* *If a collab or feature is #1, naming any artist on the song would count

1. B 2. E 3. Doja Cat...although conservatives could rally around some other random song now that Oliver Anthony said "diversity is our strength"
