1. escapism just bc it has so much room to grow but i could honestly see it going either way, wouldn't be shocked if they tied tbh 2. no i don't think she's dropping, although to hedge my bets i'll say that she is gonna debut at #1 before the end of the year (since i think she's almost certainly doing this if she *does* drop) 3. i've somehow never heard of her but everyone else is saying yes so i'll say yes too

1. Cuff It- definitely a close call here. Escapism is surging on radio and I think it could hit top 10. Going with Cuff It though cause I think it'll reach a new peak due to Grammy's impact 2a. No 2b. Yes- She'll release music but not this week. 3. Yes- With the way Boy's A Liar is going, I don't see how she won't

Q1: Escapism vs CUFF IT Which song will ultimately have the highest Hot 100 peak: “CUFF IT” or “Escapism”? (Thru 12/30 chart)
Gah, highest peak is different than overall biggest song in 2023 (or even highest yearend placement). Logic tells me "Cuff It" will benefit from the Grammys, but I still think "Escapism" will pick up so Imma go: -Escapism
Q2: Rihanna again a) Will Rihanna release new music by next week? (by 2/18) b) Will a Rihanna song debut at #1 this year? (Thru 12/30 chart)
The rumours are there aren't there. I'm going to say no for both.
Q3: Ice Spice Will Ice Spice chart in the top 40 of the Hot 100 this year? (Thru 12/30 chart)
Yes.

1. Cuff It
2. no,no
3. Yes (boy’s a liar seems to have some good traction and her momentum seems to keep going up the more she’s around. Thinking this song will follow Escapism with its chart run. Edit: looks like boy’s a liar pt. 2 is going to be a top 10 hit by the next 2-3 weeks so i was right, W points lmao).

1. Cuff It - Unless radio starts to REALLY surge, I can’t see Escapim cracking the top 10
2A. God I hope but nah 2B. Did y’all see those airplay number for Lift Me Up? Imagine when releases a good song. Easy number one.
3. Boy is a Liar is 100% cracking the top 40, so definitely

1. Escapism - Escapism has lots of room to grow on radio and is still gaining 0.5-1M AI per day. Also, the threshold for Top 10 is still crazy low right now (like 135 points or something...Escapism is around 100). CUFF IT is 100% done, it's dropping most days on radio, streaming has long-since peaked, and Bey's team put out a remix this week which tells me they know this is the beginning of the end.
1. CUFF IT - Changing my answer on account of CUFF IT tracking for a possible top 5 this week. Love Escapism, but I don't think it has a shot at a Top 5 peak.
2a. No - Probably not, would she really have a whole album ready to drop without any collab rumors or songs leaking? This feels like every other time over the past 5 years everyone has said new music was imminent. 2b. Yes - IF she does release, it's an easy #1. I'll take that bet.
3. Yes - Some easy points for everyone lol...I hadn't realized, but the remix of Boy's a Liar 2 is predicted to contend for Top 20 this week.

1. Cuff It - I'm pretty pessimistic about Escapism's chances of peaking in the top ten. The streaming would already be there if it was gonna get there. That said, if Escapism ends up being the highest song on the Hot 100 YE without a top ten peak, I wouldn't be surprised.
2a. No - The Super Bowl people would've already forced her to announce the debut of a new song to drive up hype if that existed. 2b. No - I don't hate Lift Me Up, I really don't, but it's tough to ignore the vaporization of Rihanna's hype after it came out :c I'm afraid even a normal new single from her wouldn't debut at #1 at this point.
3. Yes - It feels like cheating answering this on the day of the deadline, but yeah, Boy's a Liar Pt. 2 is gonna be in the top 40 imminently.

Just a reminder, anything submitted past the deadline (Thursday nights at 11:59pm EST) won't be eligible to earn points. Of course feel free to throw your guesses out there, but it wouldn't be fair considering the time/info-sensitive nature of a lot of these questions. Anyway, let's start off this week with our first point update of the year! No questions have been decided yet, but we do have an update on the "Pick 3" artist selection game. - Morgan Wallen has earned 35 points so far, with his songs Last Night (Top 40), Red (Top 100), I Wrote The Book (Top 100), Everything I Love (Top 100), and Tennessee Fan (Top 100). He is sure to add more in the coming weeks.
- Zach Bryan has earned 5 points so far, with his song Dawns (Top 100).
That's it so far - at least for artists who were selected! I would expect to see some points from Rihanna (Superbowl) and Miley (Album due 3/10) in the next few weeks. Click here to see full selections & scoresrenfield75 is off to an early lead, thanks to the singles off Morgan Wallen's new album! rainie also benefits from the pick, at #2. Everyone else sits in a 3-way tie at #3, with 3 weeks of participation points. This week's questions (Deadline Thurs, February 16)Q1: Pick 3 (part 2)First off, we're bringing the Pick 3 artist game back! I'd like to play this a few times throughout the year, allowing you all to build a fantasy-style roster of artists. Anyone can participate, even if you missed the first round of it. Similar to the first round, you need to select any 3 artists who you think will do well on the Hot 100 in 2023! There is a new twist: you CANNOT select any artist who was picked in the first round. That means Drake, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Miley Cyrus, Morgan Wallen, Olvia Rodrigo, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Zach Bryan are OFF LIMITS!As a reminder of the rules, your 3 picks will accumulate points throughout the year - think of it like a fantasy league! Here's how the points will work: - +50 Points - For every song by your artists that hits #1
- +10 Points - For every additional week at #1
- +20 Points - For every song by your artists that hits the Top 10
- +10 Points - For every song by your artists that hits the Top 40
- +5 Points - For every song by your artists that hits the Top 100
- Songs that are charting as of the 2/18 chart will not earn points - so "Kill Bill", "Boys a Liar", "Creepin" etc. are not eligible to earn you points
- Holiday songs which charted in 2022 are not eligible either
- This has the potential to be worth a TON of points, so choose wisely!
Pick any 3 artists who you predict will have a big year in 2023 (2/25 - 12/30 chart) If you need help thinking of artists which haven't been picked yet, here's a selection from the past couple year-end lists: {CLICK}21 Savage A$AP Rocky Anderson .Paak Bad Bunny Cardi B Doja Cat Ed Sheeran Eminem Frank Ocean Future Gunna Justin Bieber Kane Brown Lil Baby Lil Durk Luke Combs Nicki Minaj P!nk Polo G Selena Gomez The Kid LAROI The Weeknd Travis Scott Tyler The Creator Young Thug Q2: Boy's A Liar"Boy's a Liar Pt. 2", the remix of PinkPanthress's TikTok-viral hit featuring Ice Spice, has gone viral over the past week. It's in the top 5 on Spotify and Apple Music as of writing this, and has the potential to be HUGE. The big question is, can it go all the way to #1? It will likely have to go through "Flowers" and "Kill Bill" to get there. Will "Boy's a Liar Pt. 2" go #1 on the Hot 100 this year? (Thru 12/30 chart)Q3: P!nkP!nk has her newest album "TRUSTFALL" coming out next Friday. To date, she has had an incredibly long and successful career. Her Hot 100 debut came in 2000 with "There You Go" (#7). After almost 20 years of making appearances nearly every year on the chart, she's finally started to see more commercial decline in the last few years, coinciding with her shift to a more Adult Contemporary sound. Now, she's promising the next album will feature a more upbeat danceable sound. Her 1st single "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" (#99) just debuted on the Hot 100 after several months of climbing on the radio. "TRUSTFALL", her second single, has not yet charted. a) Will P!nk debut any new songs on the Hot 100 next week? (3/4 chart) b) Will a P!nk song chart in the Top 40 this year? (Thru 12/30 chart)

1. My 3 additional artists will be: Doja Cat - I feel good that she'll release or be on a few things by the end of the year. And anything Doja does will go straight to #1 on pop radio! Polo G - He has promised a new album in Q1 2023 with a lot of collabs. He was on a ton of stuff in 2020-2021, and I think his next album will boost him to the next level. The Kid LAROI - I only really liked STAY, where his voice was clearly edited to be less grating, but LAROI seems to have a big audience. He's got a new album coming, and I think he'll have a mini-album bomb.
2. Yes - This song sounds like the perfect spring radio smash. I will be shocked if it doesn't earn a #1 in the next couple months.
3a. Yes - I think TRUSTFALL is a surprisingly good song, and the album boost should give this one the streams it needs to chart. 3b. No - Unless something really connects with audiences, I think Pink's Top 40 days are probably over.

1. The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, and Lil Baby - I know Dawn FM seems to be a bad sign, but the album's underperformance clearly hasn't stopped the Weeknd's performance if Creepin' is anything to go by. He's huge, and he'll definitely have another big collab this year, something finally viral from Dawn FM, or all new content. Bad Bunny won't have a year like last year I think, but he's reached the level of stardom where every single he puts out will chart for at least a week, even if he's not the lead artist, and I think that's gonna add up over the year. Lil Baby is just a consistent presence on the charts who'll also be cumulative for me.
2. No - I don't see radio latching onto Boy's a Liar quite so hard, especially not to the extent it's pushing up Flowers. Plus tiktok virality doesn't lean toward long-lasting streaming peaks. I do think it'll have a healthy run in the top ten, though.
3a. No - I do think Pink will debut a song from this new album, eventually. But it'll be when pop and AC radio gives it a chance and pushes it onto the lower parts of the chart a few weeks later, not the week the album releases. 3b. No - Another case of Pink just tragically missing, I think. Even if one of her singles does get some radio support, I just don't think it'll be enough for a top 40 peak, especially when this year is starting off so strong already.

1. Luke Combs, Doja Cat, and I'll take a wild swing and say Cardi B. She swears her album is coming this year and she could have a decent album bomb with some real streaming/radio hits 2. No 3a. No, if ""Never Gonna Not Dance Again" couldn't make the Hot 100 until this past week I don't see Trustfall getting that big of a boost right now 3b. No, sadly

1. Lil Nas X is surely coming back that’s at least ONE number one. Doja has another album easy. Ice Spice is gonna get hella play if Boys a Liar sticks around.
2. Nah can’t imagine radio grabbing onto it. So it’s seems need to be even better than it’s current pace.
3a. Nah 3. HELL NAH
