A few obstacles for “Kill Bill” to go #1. First of all, is still has “Flowers” to contend with. Secondly country songs have always been forces to be reckoned with on YE charts. Thirdly there have been several YE #1s that only burst onto the scene in March or April like “Last Night” did, i.e. “Boom Boom Pow”, “Rolling in the Deep”, “Somebody that I Used To Know”, “Old Town Road”, so it’s not an insurmountable gap. But then there's "As It Was" last year despite having 15 weeks at #1 (and bursts to the Hot 100 by April too) losing the YE #1 to "Heat Waves" that benefitted from the longevity, but to be completely fair, the competition this year was definitely strong compared to last year, with "Kill Bill", "Last Night", and "Flowers" all being viable contenders ("Anti-Hero" being the dark horse contender) Yes “As It Was” is definitely a counter-example. So are “Stay” and “Closer”. I’m not saying LN will get the #1 but you really can’t write it off. Remember in 2019, we also had a race between an alt-R&B-pop girl from New Jersey and a song about flowers, before a country song that was on nobody’s radar fort he first few months of the year blew up suddenly and snagged the #1. What’s to stop history from repeating itself in 2023? On the other hand, never bet against a Cyrus in this kind of race.

If this year's YE Top 3 ends up being the same way as the 2019 YE, with the country song leading (Last Night), then the song about flowers at #2, then a song by an alt-R&B-pop girl from New Jersey at #3 (Kill Bill), that'll be crazy. Hey, you can even throw "Anti-Hero" at #4, as the 2019 YE #4 also happen to have a negative word in the song title (Bad Guy)

Or what about “Creepin”? A common synonym for “creepy” is “sick”. So #9 finish like “Sicko Mode”? Heck, toss in a reunited superstar boy band at #10 (Sucker) or an iconic alternative act having a mainstream resurgence at #11 (High Hopes). Maybe a song with 7 in its title finishes at 7 again, like “7 Rings” did.

The first three scenarios are a bit possible, though I feel like "Unholy" may stick long enough to be in the Top 10 in the YE, or if it didn't, miss out on landing at #14, so it means it's #11-#13.
