I'll pause here for now, but I'll be back shortly to reveal the remaining songs in the bottom 10.

These reveals are off to an... odd start. I'm perplexed that we've lost two (great) female songs already in the bottom 5. That shouldn't have happened until like... the 70s imo. Meh.

the only song I feel deserved better is Ronnie Milsap. None of the other songs have any business being high at all so I'm good with them being the Bottom 5, even if none are in my own bottom 5.
Hopefully we see Dwight Yoakam's "You're The One" leave soon. That is one of my least favorites from him, same with Clint Black's "One More Payment". I also would like to see Alabama exit with "Then Again" and "Forever's As Far As I'll Go" though I suspect those two will stick around for a while.

Stats for #95:
Exiting next is a song that consistently teetered on the edge of the bottom 5 and narrowly avoided it, thanks in part to a last-minute ranking in the top half. Six participants, in total, bid farewell to their bottom 10 placements, with two of them holding last place.

"One Hundred and Two" was released in April 1991 by The Judds and was the third single from the album Love Can Build a Bridge. The song reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart that summer. While The Judds' early departure may surprise some, there wasn't much enthusiasm for this song, as ten participants placed it in the bottom third of their lists. Six of those ranked it in the bottom 10, including both nuggie99 and gardyfan, who placed it in last. It did receive a trio of top-half rankings, with a last-minute one from taylor is terrified providing the push it needed to escape the bottom 5.

This was my lowest female-led song and I still put it at #59, lol. Not one of The Judds best for sure, but I'm really perplexed that we're booting songs like this over so many subpar and faceless male songs that have been forgotten over time...

I also would like to see Alabama exit with "Then Again" and "Forever's As Far As I'll Go" though I suspect those two will stick around for a while. I've come to notice thru doing these kinds of RDs that Alabama is such an overrated band, because they have a few really top-tier staples from their career, but so many of their singles are just straight ass, those included.

"Little Things" was released in January 1991 as the first single from Marty Stuart's album Tempted and went on to become his second top 10 country hit. This stands out as our least polarizing song, as the majority of the group placed it at or near their top 80. Among those, three participants lose a bottom 10 ranking with 🌺CountryLineDancer dropping his runner-up for last place. nuggie99 is the sole participant in the group to lose a top 40 ranking.

I've been a long-time fan of Marty Stuart, and "Little Things" has always struck me as a catchy earworm. However, it's not surprising to see one of his songs exit in the bottom 10, as he doesn't seem to have much of a fanbase among the Pulse Tractors.

"Nothing's Changed Here" was released in July 1991 as the third single from Dwight Yoakam's album If There Was a Way. It peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart[1] and it became his biggest hit from this album in Canada, reaching number 2 on the RPM country singles chart. Dwight Yoakam is another artist whose fan base among those on Pulse isn't as extensive, so it's not surprising to see one of his songs land in the bottom 10. Many participants placed it in their bottom 20, with only three ranking it in the bottom 10. The sole participant to include it in their top half was Kanenrá:ke who loses a top 30 ranking for this song.

"Then Again" was released in September 1991 as the first single from Alabama's second compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol. II, and reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart that winter. Considering the previous conversation, it shouldn't come as a surprise that one of Alabama's songs finds itself in the bottom 10, as it received eight bottom 10 rankings, including a last-place ranking from Kanenrá:ke. However, it wasn't all negative for this song, as it did secure three top 30 rankings, including a top 25 from LBTrocks. While I personally have always had a liking for this song, I can understand why it might not be everyone's cup of tea.

"Can I Count On You" was released in March 1991 as the third single from McBride & the Ride's debut album, Burnin' Up the Road, and was a top 15 hit on the country charts. Although the majority of participants placed this song in the bottom third of their lists, it did manage to secure a top 15 ranking from LBTrocks, as well as one other top-half ranking. Two other participants shed a bottom 5 ranking, including someguy, who had it as their runner-up for last place.

Well this is going surprisingly well. Managed to get rid of 5 of my bottom 6 right off the bat.
Certainly nothing essential has left so far. I like the verse melody of the Marty Stuart song, and ranked it accordingly, but it's hardly surprising to see it not do well. Feels like we'll see more of the same mediocrity in the next set of reveals.

I hope everyone had a great beginning to the week! Let's keep the momentum going. Here are some things you can expect to encounter as we head into the final stretch of the bottom 20: - The first artist with multiple songs will make their exit
- The first #1 hit of the year to exit will also be revealed
- Only one participant will lose a top 10
- Four participants will lose a top 15
- One more participant will see their last place depart

"I Couldn't See You Leavin'" was released in December 1990 as the second single from Conway Twitty's album Crazy in Love. The song reached #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and was Conway's final Top 10 hit. This was among the least divisive for our group, as the majority placed it in the bottom third of their list. It received just two bottom 5 rankings and a near top 30 ranking from CoJoFan.
