Penned by Mike Reid, "Forever's as Far as I'll Go" was released in October 1990 as the third single from Alabama's album Pass It On Down. The song was Alabama's twenty-ninth number one country hit and was one of the top 3 most-played songs of the year. This song has consistently divided the Pulse Tractor community, with those who dislike it being the most vocal among us. Speaking of that, both castleoblivion26 and .indulgecountry have already expressed their opinions about the song, so it shouldn't be a surprise to see them rank it in their bottom 5. Five other participants have also placed this song in their bottom 20. However, there are some among the group who seem to enjoy this song. CoJoFan is the only one to include it in their top 15, followed by nathanalbright, who has it in their top 20. Personally, I belong to the group that quite enjoys the song and has never quite understood the level of criticism it often receives here on Pulse.

"Are You Lovin' Me Like I'm Lovin' You" was released in March 1991 as the first single from Ronnie Milsap's album Back to the Grindstone and was a top 3 hit on the country charts. This song arrived as one of our least divisive tracks, with the majority of the group ranking it somewhere in the 60s. Although it didn't receive significant top-tier support, it did earn a near top 30 placement from nathanalbright and a top 40 spot from bboat11. Additionally, three others see one of their bottom 5s exit.

"Oh What It Did to Me" was released in February 1991 as the fourth single from Tanya Tucker's album Tennessee Woman and reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in June 1991. That chart position was mirrored by a top 12 ranking from .indulgecountry, who was the sole participant to include this song in their top 30. While three others did place it in their top 40, the majority of participants ended up ranking it in either their bottom 10 or bottom 20.

"Some Guys Have All the Love" was released in September 1991 as the lead single from the debut album of Little Texas, First Time for Everything, and went on to become their first top 10 country hit. Although this song initially found itself within the bottom 5, courtesy of George Strait Junkie's ranking, it managed to climb beyond the bottom 30 thanks to a couple of rankings within the top half. However, it would ultimately settle back within the bottom 30 as that's where the majority of the group chose to place it.

"You're the One" was released in February 1991 as the second single from Dight Yoakam's fourth studio album, If There Was a Way, and peaked at #5 becoming his tenth top 10 country hit. There were no top 5 rankings to be found for this song. The closest it came was a top 20 from 🌺CountryLineDancer, followed by a top 25 from nuggie99. The majority of the group placed this song in their bottom 30, which included a couple of bottom 5 rankings. Among those, castleoblivion26 is next in line to see their last-place song exit the list. Dwight Yoakam is another artist whose fanbase may not be widely represented across the Pulse country community, and as a result, his songs often tend to underperform. I consider myself a lifelong fan and have always personally enjoyed "You're the One" to the extent that it nearly made it into the top half of my list.

Co-written by Vince Gill, "Here We Are" was released in June 1991 as the fifth and final single from Alabama's album Pass It On Down and reached the top 2 on the country charts later that summer. While this song had a rather rough start, initially placing within the bottom 10, it quickly climbed into the top 40 thanks to strong support from the top-tier voters, primarily in the early part of its run. This included a single top 30 ranking from someguy, followed by three top 40 rankings from myself, kw9461, and nathanalbright. However, as its run continued, it received a handful of other bottom 10 and bottom 20 rankings, which gradually pushed it further away from its highest point. Alabama is another artist whose songs can be somewhat divisive within the Pulse country community, which is likely why this one underperformed relative to its potential. Personally, I've always enjoyed this song and consider it a great jam.

"Put Yourself in My Shoes" was released in October 1990 as the lead single and title track to Clint Black's second album, Put Yourself in My Shoes, and peaked at number 4 on Hot Country Singles & Tracks by year's end. This song mainly lingered in and around the bottom 20 for most of its run and even briefly dipped into the bottom 10. This change was partly influenced by a single bottom 5 ranking from 🌺CountryLineDancer. However, it managed to bounce back as it received its highest ranking, a top 25 placement, from gardyfan.

"Lucky Moon" was released in March 1991 as the first single from the Oak Ridge Boys album Unstoppable where it reached No. 6 on the country charts becoming the group's last Top 10 hit. This song was an unexpected early contender for the bottom 2, and it didn't receive any top-level support until well into its run. Those higher rankings came in the form of a top 25 from bboat11, a top 15 from sabre14, and finally, a lone top 10 from 🌺CountryLineDancer, who became only the second participant to lose a top 10. While these three rankings were just enough to keep it out of the bottom 10, they weren't sufficient to propel it beyond the bottom 20.

Glad we've got all 3 of the terrible Alabama songs out; "Down Home" is the outlier in that it's actually good so that one can stay in awhile.
"Lucky Moon" surprised me because typically I'm not much for ORB, but it was solid.
