"Where Are You Now" has to be one of the lowest impact #1's of the entire decade.

Stats for #73:
The next song to exit might raise some eyebrows, as it's unexpected to see it leave within the bottom 30. It made a fleeting appearance in the top 60 but spent most of its run within the bottom 20 or 30. One participant loses a top 25 ranking, while a couple of others drop a bottom 10.

"Put Yourself in My Place" was released in August 1991 as the third single and title track from Pam Tillis's sophomore album, Put Yourself in My Place, and peaked at #11 on the country charts. Although it briefly cracked the top 60, this song spent the first half of its run as a bottom 20 contender, and in the latter half, it slid into the bottom 30. Unfortunately, it lacked the necessary top-level support to climb higher in the rankings, with only a couple of top 30 placements and a solitary top 25 spot from .indulgecountry to its name.

Next in line to exit is a song that failed to rise beyond its initial position and remained a bottom 10 contender for the first half of its run. Regrettably, this departure comes at the cost of someone's runner-up, making them the first participant to lose their #2 ranking.

"Silver and Gold" was released in May 1991 as the second single from Dolly Parton's album Eagle When She Flies and was a top 15 hit on the country charts. It wouldn't rise higher than its initial position from the start and swiftly became a bottom 10 contender for the first half of its run. However, it managed to rebound somewhat in the latter half, thanks to some top-tier support, including a top 30 from 🌺CountryLineDancer, a top 20 from taylor is terrified, and a top 2 from .indulgecountry, who, unfortunately, is the first participant to lose their runner-up spot.

"Right Now" was released in January 1991 as the second single from Mary Chapin Carpenter's third studio album, Shooting Straight in the Dark, and was a top 15 hit on the country charts. As previously noted, this song managed to achieve both its lowest and highest positions right from the outset. Following that, it maintained a consistent presence as a bottom 20 contender before finally gaining momentum and garnering top-tier support, including .indulgecountry's top 25, Cody Wants Out...'s top 15, and ultimately a top 10 from Kanenrá:ke.

Surprised to see Dolly Parton exiting so early. Even though many of y’all are bigger fan of hers than me, I can say that Silver And Gold does not deserve to exit just yet.
On the other hand, I’m ready to see the exit of some songs from Mr. too-good-to-be-on-spotify.

On the other hand, I’m ready to see the exit of some songs from Mr. too-good-to-be-on-spotify. Yeah, it's long overdue. I thought surely we would've at least lost "Rodeo" by now. I knew the others would probably be propped up awhile since they're among his more recognizable hits but that one is absolute DRECK.

Don Williams still having both songs alive has to be the biggest upset. "True Love" has overstayed though, so it can leave next. Also have to think Paul Overstreet may be on borrowed time.

Pam, Dolly, and then Mary Chapin, What?!?!? I'm not the biggest fan of "Silver and Gold" but still surprised to see it this low.
also, the only Garth Brooks songs that should be leaving this early is "Two of a Kind, Workin' On A Full House", I've never cared for that one. "Rodeo" can leave as well. Travis Tritt's "Here's A Quarter" needs to go as well.

"A Picture of Me (Without You)" was released in June 1991 as the second single from Lorrie Morgan's sophomore album, Something in Red, and became her sixth top 10 country hit. The song was originally recorded by George Jones, whose version peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart in 1972. This marks the fourth consecutive female song exiting, which could be both surprising and disappointing for some, including .indulgecountry, who loses a near top 15. Despite a top 3 from Kanenrá:ke, this song failed to garner sufficient support from the top half of the rankings to make a significant impact. Instead, it largely stayed in the bottom 30 throughout its run, only managing to move out of that category in the final stretch.

"True Love" was released in January 1991 as the second single and title track from Don Williams' album True Love and was his final top 5 country hit. As mentioned by kw9461, it might come as a surprise that both songs by Don Williams in the rankdown managed to escape the bottom 30 altogether, with "Lord Have Mercy on a Country Boy" still in the running. This song initially found itself in the bottom 20, but with a boost from a nearly top 15 ranking by nathanalbright and a top 30 from myself, it briefly reached the top half. However, it began to settle back down after receiving two more bottom 5 rankings. Fortunately, a top 20 ranking from taylor is terrified provided just enough support to keep it out of the bottom 30. Apart from the prominent influences of George Strait and Alan Jackson, Don Williams had a profound impact on me during my early years, thanks to a friend of my mother who introduced me to his music. I have fond memories of listening to this album repeatedly during that time, and even today, I revisit it occasionally. In 1993, I had the privilege of seeing Don Williams perform live for the first time at a county fair in Nebraska and was even able to get his autograph. It wasn't until 2011 that I had the opportunity to see him again, and I had the chance to attend a couple of his performances in the years that followed as he often performed at a local venue here in Austin.

"Leap of Faith" was released in June 1991 as the first single from Lionel Cartwright's third studio album, Chasin' the Sun, and went on to become his first and only number #1 country hit. Although it garnered five top 30 rankings, this song predominantly remained within the bottom 30 during its run, as most participants placed it towards the lower end of their top half. Notably, taylor is terrified and bboat11 shake of a bottom 5, while 🌺CountryLineDancer says goodbye to a song that was in their top 15 followed by a top 20 from Cody Wants Out....
