37. Lucid Dreams - Juice WRLDBorn and raised in Illinois, Jarad Higgins learned to play piano, guitar, and drums at an early age. In high school he focused more on rapping, posting songs on SoundCloud. He originally took on the name JuiceTheKidd before changing it to Juice WRLD. His 2018 single "Lucid Dreams" topped the rap and R&B/Hip Hop charts and peaked at #2 on the Hot 100. Samples "Shape Of My Heart" by Sting, and as a result Sting owns 85% of the rights to "Lucid Dreams". In 2019, just days after his 21st birthday, Juice WRLD passed away after suffering a seizure. An autopsy later determined the cause of death to be an accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine. A copyright infringement suit by the band Yellowcard against Juice WRLD claiming that "Lucid Dreams" copied the melody of their song "Holly Wood Died" was dropped following his death. 45. Good Lovin' - Ludacris feat. Miguel: OMG Seriously? I ranked this at #44 and then this shows up one spot earlier to prevent me from a perfect ranking? Of course this would happen, omg. Anywho, I love Luda but I wasn't really familiar with this song. I really enjoyed it and it was one of my favorite discoveries. I could see myself loving this if I hear this some more. 44. Big Energy - Latto: Ughh, eww and booo that I lose my #5 right now. Ughh my first Top 5 loss in fact. :'( This is such a great breakthrough jam from Latto! Hadn't heard of her before this song but she made a great first impression to me with this song. This is still my favorite song from Latto. So fun, catchy and addicting to listen to. And also one of my top favorite songs of 2022. Super sad this didn't show up higher. :( 43. My Type - Saweetie: I think this was also the first song that I've heard from Saweetie and I do really like this enough to rank it at #28. Love the "Freek-a-Leek" sample and how Saweetie raps on this. I've grown to like or love a few other songs more from her, namely "Best Friend," which I'm sure would have gotten a Top 15 ranking from me. 42. That's All She Wrote - T.I. feat. Eminem: I wasn't familiar with this T.I. & Eminem collabo but I liked this and like it enough to rank it at #60. I do feel a bit bad for that ranking as maybe I should have ranked it higher. But maybe I could have if I heard this more often. 41. Glory - Common & John Legend: Hmm this is a song that I thought would have ranked higher than this. I placed this at #26 and think this is a great and really powerful song. I also feel bad for not ranking this higher as I feel I should have but oh well. Sad to see this miss the Top 40. But also very happy that this didn't get any Bottom 20 rankings. 40. Started From The Bottom - Drake: Oooh Top 40 is a really good for this and I'm glad it made it this far. But I also hope and wished this could have made it higher. I ranked this at #24 and think this is such a memorable jam from Drake. I do prefer a number of other Drake songs such as "Find Your Love," "Take Care," "One Dance," "God's Plan," "Nice for What" and plenty of other songs that I would have ranked even higher than this one. But nicee that this didn't get any Bottom 10 rankings. 39. No Problem - Chance The Rapper feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz: Oh wow it's crazy seeing this song getting both a #1 and then two #99 rankings. I especially did not expect such low rankings. I do think this is a fun song and I really liked this enough to rank it at #38. Ooh ughh nooo, I just saw I missed another perfect ranking by just one spot, ugh. This always happens to me. 38. Just a Dream - Nelly: Ugh noooo, not another one of my Top 10s dropping out and this time it being my #7. :'( Dangg, this is a great song and I do really love this from Nelly. Definitely my favorite song of his of the 2010s. Like 312999 said, this was a great comeback single from Nelly. Glad this made it to the Top 40 but I do wish this could have made it higher as well. 37. Lucid Dreams - Juice WRLD: Aww nooo, also sad to lose my #14 here. :( I love this song and think it's a great song from Juice WRLD. It's also stands out as my favorite song of his. It's so sad how we lost him at such a young age of 21. :'( And that was a little more than a year after the success of this song. 36. All The Way Up - Fat Joe & Remy Ma feat. French Montana & Infared: Ooh dangg, I am just losing all of my jams all in a row in this latest set. :'( Oooh wow I ranked this at #20? I thought I had ranked this even higher. But still, this is a JAM and I do really like this a lot/even love it. Fat Joe and Remy Ma can never do any wrong. It's not quite a "Lean Back" for me, but still, it's a catchy jam! Yay for no Bottom 20 rankings.

34. Feelin' Myself - Nipsey Hussle feat. LloydBorn and raised in the Crenshaw neighborhood of South Central LA, Airmiess Asghedom got his stage name, a reference to actor and comedian Nipsey Russell, from a childhood friend. His first mixtape eventually led to record deal with Epic. His 2010 single "Feelin' Myself" featuring Lloyd cracked the R&B chart, peaking at #93. It was the lead single from what was originally set to be Nipsey's debut studio album South Central State Of Mind. However, due to Epic facing financial problems, Nipsey left the label and the album was shelved. In 2019 Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside his store in LA at the age of 33. The shooter was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to 60 years in prison. Nipsey was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2022. I have a couple ideas of what the next song might be. I'll just say whichever one it is, I'm glad it at least beat my bottom 25

Why did I think that this was going to be top 10? Maybe not too surprised that this is the highest SD though.

wayyyy too early for this but not too surprised. figure something from one of his later albums would've gone better but this is still one of his signature songs
edit: this was for Tyler not Jack Harlow lmao

i feel like J. Cole's talent outweighs his actual output which is probably why he's been much more enjoyable as a feature artist (especially lately)

No introduction needed for Drake, as he's the most successful rapper of the last 14 years (considering his longevity, arguably of all-time, but Eminem might still be able to stake that claim for now). I'm not sure he deserves to be, but he's skilled enough and prolific enough that he's going to be responsible for something good at least a couple times per year. Chance is one of those guys where I admire the amount of effort he puts in, but he demonstrates pretty well why there's such a thing as being too eager to please. I like him way more when he calms down a little than when he tries to have all the personality and all the positivity. I tend to just put Nelly in the same box as Flo Rida and Pitbull. And if he didn't have "Just A Dream", he'd have as little a case for being called a 2010s artist as 50 Cent does. Juice's music means a lot to a huge number of people, and though the inconsistency of his catalog makes it hard for me to say I'm that big of a fan myself, the high points make it easy to see why the music has endured. Wish he had gotten to know some peace in his life before he passed. Fat Joe had a decent start with his first 3 albums in the mid-late 90s. That's not a massive credit to him, though, since it's hard to roll with prime Diggin In The Crates and not be a catalyst for some good music. Since "What's Luv?", he's just been in a cycle of randomly returning to the limelight every so often with a hit that he's usually the worst part of. Wiz Khalifa is such a hack, I cannot stand him. Nobody makes marijuana consumption sound less cool than this dude does, and it's his main subject by a mile, so that's a tall hurdle for him to jump over. I don't have a bunch of experience with Nipsey Hussle, but what I've listened to has been at worst fine and at best fantastic. I'm afraid "Feelin' Myself" was more the former though Tyler was one of the first up-and-coming modern artists I followed when I was getting back into music as my main hobby in 2010. I loved Bastard and when Goblin was about to come out, Odd Future in general was the moment--it really was an exciting time. As I grew up with the first 4 albums, though, I realized Tyler was kind of wasting his talent on edge and irony and I disengaged little by little. But now, ever since Flower Boy, the man has found his voice and is on an all-time great run. Jack Harlow's discography is so messy and frustrating. I feel like if he didn't have an identity crisis every other month, he'd be able to deliver a baseline of competence with flashes of greatness. ...Which, coincidentally, is kind of what I feel J. Cole has been able to do? He's been rewarded for that with a fanbase that is nearly as large and dedicated as Drake's. Since his music is a little more 'high-minded' and less interested in producing context-free bangers, though, those fans are way more insistent that he's some sort of genius, which can get irritating, and I listen to him a fair bit less despite feeling he's certainly better than Drake on average.

Iβm sad to see No Problem go but this is about where I expected it to land. Chance has a lot of great songs, and thatβs definitely one of them
Young, Wild, and Free is just a carefree jam that Iβve always found to be entertaining. I expected it to be much lower so Iβm happy with this spot. Most of these other placements make sense though!
With Crooked Smile leaving, I believe Iβm down to only 1 non top 50 π₯³ Nice group of songs here: 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 10 12 13 14 15 17 19 22 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 34 35 36 37 40 43 46 51

30. Trouble On My Mind - Pusha T feat. Tyler, The CreatorBorn in The Bronx and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Terrence Thornton rose to fame as one half of the duo Clipse with his brother No Malice. He originally took on the name Terrar before changing it to Pusha T. After over a decade together, Clipse went on hiatus and Pusha T pursued a solo career, signing with Kanye West's GOOD Music label. His 2011 song "Trouble On My Mind" featuring Tyler, The Creator was the lead single from his EP Fear Of God II: Let Us Pray. Produced by The Neptunes and Left Brain of Odd Future, it was also included on the soundtrack to the movie Project X. Following Kanye's antisemitic and pro-race remarks, Pusha T left GOOD Music in 2022 and is focusing on his own label Heir Wave Music Group. 29. Truth Hurts - LizzoBorn in Detroit and raised in Houston, Melissa Jefferson started out as a member of a group called Cornrow Clique. She studied classical music in college, but eventually dropped out and moved to Minneapolis to focus on her career. After years of touring and releasing albums and EPs, she finally broke through with "Truth Hurts". It was originally released in 2017, but it wasn't until it went viral in 2019 that it became a hit, topping the rap, R&B/Hip Hop, and Hot 100 charts, and also hit #1 in Chile. It won a Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance and was nominated for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year. The song also earned her a spot in the Guinness World Records for being the longest-running #1 hit for a solo female rapper. After Lizzo applied for a trademark for the phrase "I'm 100% that bitch", singer Mina Lioness responded that she had posted something similar on Twitter in 2017. As a result, Lioness received credit as a co-writer. Lizzo has come under fire in recent months when three former backup dancers filed a lawsuit accusing her and her production company of sexual and racial harassment, false imprisonment, and weight-shaming, among other allegations. Lizzo has denied those claims. Apologies to beyoncelover... 27. Nothin' On You - B.o.B feat. Bruno MarsBorn in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and raised in Decatur, Georgia, Bobby Simmons Jr. got into the business as a teenager, selling his first beat to artist Citti for the song "I'm The Cookie Man". He eventually landed a deal with Atlantic and the imprint Rebel Rock. His greatest success began with the release of "Nothin' On You". The song, featuring Bruno Mars, topped the rap and Hot 100 charts and peaked at #5 on the R&B chart in 2010, and also hit #1 in four other countries. It received Grammy nominations for Record Of The Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. "Nothin' On You" was originally intended for Lupe Fiasco, but was given to B.o.B after Atlantic wasn't satisfied with Lupe's version. I legit HATE Truth Hurts as a song, but I was actually trying to play the game and figured y'all would take it to the top, LOL. Glad that didn't happen even if it affected my standing. Meanwhile, how the fuck did Playboy Carti last that long?! Terrible.

35. Young, Wild & Free - Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa feat. Bruno Mars: I do really enjoy this and think this is a fun jam from all 3 artists here. I ranked this at #31, so just 4 spots off from a perfect ranking. Of course... lmao I just give up on this. But yeah this isn't my very top favorite from any of these artists but still really like this. 34. Feelin' Myself - Nipsey Hussle feat. Lloyd: I wasn't familiar with this song but this was another one of my favorite new discoveries in this rankdown as this was my #46. Really enjoyable song that could grow on me with more listens. 33. Yonkers - Tyler, The Creator: Ooh wow so this song has the honor of the highest SD. I ranked this at #81, so it wasn't a song that stood out or really did anything for me. I don't really care much for Tyler, The Creator in general so I wasn't expecting this to do much for me. 32. WHATS POPPIN - Jack Harlow: Fun and enjoyable jam from Jack Harlow. I liked this enough to rank it at #36, so once again I am 4 spots off from a perfect rank. Because of course that happens, lmao. The ranking does surprise me a bit as I thought I would have ranked this higher. I think I do prefer the remix over the original but I still really enjoy both. I would have given "First Class" a higher ranking if that was here instead. Nice that there weren't any Bottom 20 rankings for this. 31. Crooked Smile - J. Cole feat. TLC: I really enjoy this song and enough so to give it a #39 ranking. I'm sad I didn't listen or pay more attention to this song as I feel this is something I could have grown to love. But very good spot for this. Ooh and yeah if "Work Out" was here, I would have given that a higher ranking. 30. Trouble On My Mind - Pusha T feat. Tyler, The Creator: I gave this a #62 ranking but this is anothe song I don't really remember that well. I do like Pusha T but don't care for Tyler so overall, it was one of those tricky songs to figure out how to rank. 29. Truth Hurts - Lizzo: Ugh boooo nooo, not me losing my #1 already. I'm so sad about that. :'( Although I guess some others lost their #1s so I'm glad this was able to make it to the Top 30, at least. This is such a fire jam and I absolutely love this! It still remains my favorite song of Lizzo's and a song that I can never get tired of. Definitely wish this could have gone higher, but I'm pleased there are no Bottom 20 rankings for this. 28. Magnolia - Playboi Carti: LOL not my #92 beating my #1 by just one point, omg. Just my luck. If only I had ranked this at 94 or something lol. Anywho, I don't know or remember this but I doubt I cared for this nor did it make an impact on me. 27. Nothin' On You - B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars: Whoaa I had no idea this song was intended for Lupe Fiasco. I'm curious how his version sounded. Anyway, I absolutely love this song and it's such a jam... so much so that I had to give it at #4 ranking. I think this was a song that introduced me to both B.o.B and Bruno Mars... and what a great first impression they both had on me with this. Sad this couldn't make it any higher but I'm glad this was able to make it to the Top 30. 26. Drip Too Hard - Lil Baby & Gunna: Ooh this was my #85 ranking, so it's another one of those songs I don't remember but I didn't like it nor did it make much of an impression on me. I don't care for either artist so I wasn't expecting to care for this and I didn't.
