For the life of me, I can't figure out why they're releasing this on a Thursday rather than Friday, and the UK charts also follow a Friday-Thursday tracking week. It could cost them a slightly higher chart position, such as peaking within the top 10. I'm guessing this is more a tribute to John and their legacy rather than an attempt to up their chart stats.

back in late 1995 the first of two unreleased Beatles songs were released. the first and biggest Free As A Bird was #5 in sales but only reached #60 at radio .it peaked at #6 on the Hot 100. here is what Billboard wrote about it.

Billboard's too prideful to credit Teenage Dream as the album with 6 #1s, breaking the tie with MJ. When TD Complete Confection was released, it was combined with the orig TD chart run, technically the same project.

The Beatles’ ‘Now and Then’ Debuts on Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart After One Day

The single, billed as their final song, bows after premiering Nov. 2.

After less than one day of airplay, The Beatles’ “Now and Then” debuts at No. 37 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart dated Nov. 11.

In the Oct. 27-Nov. 2 tracking week, “Now and Then” – with all of its airplay logged Nov. 2, after it premiered at 10 a.m. ET – earned 1.1 million audience impressions on reporting rock radio stations, according to Luminate. That total includes plays on stations that contribute to the Adult Alternative Airplay survey, where the track is bubbling under thanks to 136 spins in its first day, and Mainstream Rock Airplay, via 27 detections.

“Now and Then” is the third song from The Beatles to reach Billboard’s rock airplay charts since the lists’ inception (Mainstream Rock Airplay in 1981, Alternative Airplay in 1988, Adult Alternative Airplay in 1996 and Rock & Alternative Airplay in 2009). “Free as a Bird” debuted and peaked at No. 8 on Mainstream Rock Airplay in December 1995 and appeared on the inaugural Adult Alternative Airplay tally (Jan. 20, 1996) at No. 11, while “Real Love” peaked at No. 16 on Adult Alternative Airplay in March 1996.

“Now and Then” is billed as the final Beatles song, first recorded as a demo in the late 1970s by John Lennon and initially meant for the band’s The Beatles’ Anthology series in the mid-‘90s before being shelved by the surviving members of the band. It was completed and released this year after new technology helped extract Lennon’s vocals from the original demo while also using guitar recordings from George Harrison from the initial attempt to finish the song.

The first full week of activity for “Now and Then” will be reflected on Billboard’s Nov. 18-dated charts, including the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 (encompassing activity tracked Nov. 3-9).

All Billboard charts dated Nov. 11 will update on Billboard.com on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Now and Then's official audio "video" managed 1.19 million first day streams according to the weekly US YouTube chart. That's even more than Is It Over Now?'s 1.02 million got for the full week (I'm not sure if they combined the official audio and lyrics "videos").

Well as expected, Taylor Swift dominates the charts yet again as 1989 (Taylor's Version) smashed tons of records this year, snatching away the title for biggest album bomb (in the U.S. at least) away from Morgan Wallen. For the first time for one of her re-recordings, she has the entire Top 10 to herself and only left IDGAF as the only non-Taylor song in the Top 5. What's curious however is that for the first time, all of her vault songs were hits with all of the bonus tracks occupying the Top 5 as Is It Over Now? eyes a #1 debut on the Hot 100 with 20M.

Getting knocked off the top spot and out of the Top 10 entirely was IDAF which was down 17.81%. It's highly unlikely it'll return to the top so now let's how much longevity it has as the fan favorite from For All the Dogs. The only debut from last week that stuck around was TOO MUCH which dropped by 20.4% although with Kid LAROI's album on the horizon, it'll be interesting to see how this does in the coming weeks. What was also interesting is the two songs from the original 1989 release were the biggest drops as Blank Space and Style fell 32.37% and 30.72% respectively.

The Taylor album bomb actually caused a ton of songs to be down in streams. Even the Halloween impact was muted because of Taylor though we still did see the regular holiday songs re-enter
