It’s gotta be Falling Forever if this stalls. That hook has been constantly in my head in a way none of these other 3 have been initially at all. And it’s totally different sounding from the first 3 singles, which she desperately needs. All that said, I wouldn’t give up on this if I were her team. She’s had too much thrown at the wall already this era for them to keep throwing more so fast. Ride this out, keep pushing it. Summer could help this song. Don’t move onto a 4th single until it’s clear this has run its course entirely. The last thing she needs now is to come across so desperate if they jump ship quickly here. I agree, give this more time and room to grow. It's my favorite single of the three released so far, and probably my favorite song on the album. It could steadily become a decent-sized hit, and who knows, maybe even keep the entire album afloat. |

There have definitely been some songs sent top 10 or top 5 with streaming as bad or worse than this one. But, ultimately, I can't see it becoming huge like her other really big hits. Even the songs radio decided to play without streaming largely seemed forgotten by the general public even as they were being played. Not sure where she will go next for a new single. If the first three singles didn't connect, I cannot see one of the similar songs on the cd connecting better. My choice might be to do a feature/remix lol. Like, bring back the days when that was common for pop stars, give the production a bit more oomph with a carefully chosen feature. That, or choosing one of the songs on the cd that is very, very different from Houdini/Illusion/Training Season. |

Yeah it's safe to say nothing is going to pop off in the US like New Rules, Don't Start Now or Levitating. Still had the biggest sales week in the UK since Adele almost 3 years ago so i'm sure she'll be fine for now (Yes...for a british female artist, not overall).

I wasn’t the biggest fan of this song at first (it’s safe, let’s be real), but it’s been a fun spring / summer bop and I keep revisiting it. I really hope this pushes further.

I don’t see this song going top 10 on pop, and I doubt it will do well on the Hot 100. I actually liked “Houdini.” |
