I don't understand how "love is embarrassing" hasn't gotten pushed as a single yet. It's got an incredibly catchy chorus with great replay value. Her team really fumbled by picking "get him back" over that. I'm assuming the next single will be one of the bonus tracks when the deluxe drops...

I'm not surprised. It seems the Barbz have concentrated their efforts on having her album debuts at #1 in the Billboard 200. Presumably, by mostly buying it instead of streaming it. In particular, its songs haven't held up that well at US Spotify, with the highest song at #35 yesterday nor at iTunes.

I'm interested to see how Billboard counts the new version because in theory a 'remix' released this long after the original is supposed to count as a new song. The changes seem to be minor, though, so we'll see.

Meanwhile, what makes this new Nicki album a sequel to Pink Friday? As in, what's the connection there versus, say, Pinkprint? Also, was Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded not the sequel and thus this should be Pink Friday 3?

Well there are of course two components to holiday songs. "SCYHM" has to be top 50 on the Hot 100 to chart on the Hot 100 since it's a recurrent holiday song. For brand new holiday songs (like Cher's new song), they just have to make the Hot 100. So, "SCYMH" could be ahead of a new song on the Holiday 100, but that other song could chart on the Hot 100 while "SCYMH" might not. pnobelysk

There are no new holiday songs on the latest Hot 100. "Little Saint Nick" is recurrent and is #50 on the Hot 100, and as you said #27 on the Holiday 100. "SCYMH" is #53 on the Holiday 100, so it's a long ways from making the Hot 100 as of now. Megan Trainor's "Jingle Bells" is #3 Bubbling Under and #75 on the Holiday 100, so that tells you that the top 70 or so songs on the Holiday 100 would chart on the Hot 100 if they were eligible.
