This is, actually, going to be serviced to Pop and Hot AC and goes for adds on both formats upon its release, which means that the impact date will be 4/22 on Hot AC and 4/23 on Pop, respectively.

Clearly this WILL be the single, but why not impact radio starting 4/19? Would they dare reconsider if another song emerges as the clear favorite out the box this weekend? For something as big as this, the adds date is a mere formality.

Video looks great, and expensive! Thatโs all I want!

Not terrible, but nothing special. This goes nowhere. I hate to say it, but the AI generated version was so much betterโฆ

Shocking lead single choice imo, but I still think itโs a nice track

This sounds like an instant hit to me! Taylor does it again!

Underwhelming, was expecting it to be better.

On first listen, I like this a decent amount, but this doesn't quite seem like lead single material to me. I would expect it to stall around the #15-20 range like "Cardigan" and "Willow" did.

This isn't bad but it's a very weird single choice. Name recognition will only take it so far (see also: End Game).
I do think the early omg radio poison reactions are exagerating. If anyone can get a non event like this to chart well it's her.
I wouldn't even rule out this being a huge grower.

It takes a while to get going but when it does itโs great. The second half when Post Malone comes in is particularly good. I wouldnโt have considered it a radio single though
The way she sings โalcoholicโ in the first verse though, is horrific. What was she thinking? Itโs so jarring

Yeah Post elevates the song a lot. His vocals are really nice.

I forced myself to listen to this because I do not tolerate Post Malone in any capacity, but this was quite pleasant and dreamy.

Despite having one of my favorite musicians in Post Malone, it is surprisingly not an instant hit for me. An interesting single choice considering the other options the album has (I'm currently midway on listening on the album as I'm typing this), but this is going to be a grower for me, especially with how a dream collaboration of mine between Taylor Swift and Post Malone came true.

Yeah Post elevates the song a lot. His vocals are really nice. There is nowhere near enough Post though sadly. I hope they do a radio remix to boost it (if needed?) or an updated version like snow on the beach. I was hoping for more of a song inline with what her and FLorence did. But I think this song overall will be just fine on radio

I wonder if this could have been better received as a pre-release single? Like three weeks before with the promise of another single with the album? There's a nice chance the fandom forces their hand into another song a la "Is It Over Now?" because there are way better songs on the album.

No one was saying that with Anti-Hero - that may not be most people's fave track but it was always a strong lead).

Its a grower i guess. Wasnt resonating to me at first listen. On the other hand, The Tortured Poets Department song got me hooked from the first listen.

I might be crazy but I kinda agree this is the clear first single. The โI Want To Kill Herโ is the clear hook that gives it the gen z, unhinged, feral edge.

Can we have Nashville pop-country Taylor now back now, please? The production here is just sooooo sleepy and boooring.
