Her vocals sound so good here! I think I like "16 Carriages" a bit better on first listen, but both tracks are great.

These songs have more connection to authentic country than most of what is currently on country radio, so I can't wait to hear the excuses for what country fans say about it since it's from Beyonce/a Black woman.

I'm gonna wait until March 29th and listen to the whole thing at once with no spoilers. But the clip in the teaser sounds nice!

Kinda eh on this one. The production is serving Mumford & Sons/Lumineers and I'm just not a fan of that sound in general. I complain like hell when Pink does it, lol. I don't want it from Beyoncé either.

Loving this. It definitely feels a little more reserved in some ways but it’s a really strong song. Excited to hear what the full album is like!

I was hoping for more “Daddy Lessons” creole country sound - big horns, some twang and soul. This is nice but I haven’t connected yet.
Also, who is this appealing to? Her music usually has some impact, tells a big story, speaks to communities, gives power. This is a lovely song but I’m not sure who is running to this.
Beyonce will forever be my queen, but my patience is being tested. I’m still salty we had Act 1 with no music videos or long form video visuals. SUCH a moment and opportunity that was missed. Now I’m wondering what are we getting for this era? Is this even a single? Is this a promo? I’m confused. All around confused. We’re in Act 2 and I’m still confused.

I'm interested to see how they'll handle radio with these two. Urban usually carries anything she releases to at least Top 20 but these may be a stretch lol
I actually think they can do something at Pop.

I don't want it from Beyoncé either. Yeah this is definitely their typical sound. I think this has strong hit potential at Adult Top 40/Hot Ac but these tracks will struggle to crossover to country and things could go either way at Pop. Urban radio will probably send this into the Top 30 based off it being Beyoncé but it won't last long.

Those are great Spotify numbers. But how was it not serviced to Country?

from USRadioUpdater twitter
Pop: 49 spins, 201K audience Hot AC: 24 spins, 156K audience Rhythmic: 15 spins, 51K audience Urban AC (R&B): 9 spins, 121K audience Country: 2 spins, 1K audience
"Note: The song was serviced to US Pop, Hot AC, Rhythmic, Urban & Urban AC (R&B) formats, but with no impact dates listed, so the earliest it would officially impact radio is next week. Columbia is additionally still promoting Beyonce’s single “My House” at radio."

Country sometimes refuses to play otherwise hit songs released by reliable country female artists who actively court that audience. Cannot imagine them choosing to play Beyonce.

Hell, they aren't even playing(barely) Zach Bryan/Kacey's #1 hit. What is the reason?!
