Imo, Dua Lipa's Houdini is better than Training Season. And Houdini had to grow on me. Now I hope it can reach top 10. I think her Grammy performance helped made me fall in love with it.

I disagree, I think Training Season is a bit of a step up from Houdini. The chorus is kind of generic though. I can see though why they originally wanted to go with TS as the first single.

Mariah sounds great on the remix and improves a mid song, so I’m not sure what anyone is complaining about. Plus it's a remix for a mid song, so it was never going to be a catalog highlight.

Mariah's vocals definitely elevated the song as a whole, though that tepid chorus is still not it (verses are far stronger melodically), but I am just stunned at her verse. It seems so random? "I'm so done with sharing this hypocrisy with you, baby you have been rejected....bye" like, what? It seems so random. No way the lyrical goddess wrote that. Also a bit shocked she'd agree to feature on a Madonna sample. lol

I agree about Mariah's vocals elevating the song and the random ass new verse, but what is the Madonna sample? I don't hear it and don't see a sample credit when I check the credits.

:ETA: Ok I see it noted on Wikipedia that some people note a similarity to "Vogue." I don't hear it, but I guess some people do and that's the reference. It doesn't seem to be an official sample, though? Also, "Vogue" was really just copied from a Janet Jackson remix anyway so that would be the initial source.

I think Beyonce can surpass Jack Harlow this week and stay there for a few weeks. #1 on Spotify+Apple+Itunes is no joke and it seems to be rapidly rising on radio. Loving On Me is falling much faster on streaming than expected and has basically maxed out radio so it’s reign could be done.

Good cuz Lovin on Me really grew on me to the point where I want it to be a double digit ruler and for it to be the #1 song of 2024.

Jack just needs to fend off Beyoncé, nobody big drops anything threatening until April and let his 100 point gap slowly diminishes until he reaches the 10th week. Hopefully the song peaks with 100 million radio impressions.
