On the Hot 100? Yeaaah. WCBF had some solid longevity in the top 15 (10 weeks), but I expected much more from it, something closer to TUN and 7 rings levels lol.
It's approaching 700M on Spotify with 3M+ daily streams, so definitely a big win for her in that field.

Oh yeah it's definitely a sizeable hit! I just am moreso referencing the talk/buzz/visibility of the era and Ariana as a whole moreso!

If a song everyone was so crazy about and wanted flopped this hard, I don't really see anything else doing well, however, my favorite songs on the album that haven't been released yet as singles that I think possibly could've done well include Eternal Sunshine, Supernatural, True Story, and i wish i hated you.

After she posted about planning a tour on her stories, her stans started panicking about how now "378 million people" know about the tour and will make it impossible to get tickets (as if she was never going to post about her tour when/if it's formally announced, but I digress). Much respect to Taylor because that's a very good attempt to decrypt Stan Twitter lingo but the fans are talking nonsense. There's no tour anytime soon and she always wanted this to be a short project between her Wicked shoot and the Wicked promo tour. The fact that single #3 is kinda stalling just made it that much easier for her to just take a few months off until the movie drops.

Honestly kinda wondering if her putting all her bets into that movie is a good choice. We'll see.

Putting everything on hold for several world premiere red carpets (celebs RARELY stay and watch their own movies at these premieres, they dip once the projector starts), and a few weeks of interviews and talk show appearances in October and November is definitely a CHOICE. I highly doubt her and Cynthia will be singing during any of these appearances either (the studio wants your box office money in order to hear that) so if it's to preserve her voice, I'm not buying that at all.

I just don't think she wants a full on music era. The only reason ES happened was the multiple delays Wicked had last year from the strikes, I'm guessing management and the label pushed for her to do something.

With two number one hits, one of which legitimately did good I'm guessing the label is happy enough and so she decided lemme get back to my break for now. She said she's been recording and writing. I'm gonna guess whenever her next album drops she'll be much more game for a full on push.

TUN was much shorter. The era was done on album release week. This time we got a big single release, remix, big budget video months after the album.

Yet that era felt much longer. Maybe it's because the singles were way more ubiquitous!

And she had a whole tour to support it. Plus for most people sweetener and tun felt like on big campaign since they were released back to back. Breathin still did it's thing on radio for a few weeks after she dropped thank u next.
