Anyway, I am rooting for the song's success, even if I have no use for the remix because I actually like the song. There are three amazing vocalists and all I hear is muffled and vocal distortions. Original i still adore. Oh OK...someone else's ears work just fine. Good to know! you can say someone sounded like they had a cold and recorded from bed but I can't say maybe it's your ears? think about it--and then let it go. |

I'm honestly not surprised it's slowing down and wouldn't be either if it doesn't go any further. From first listen, I was not a fan at all of this song and am not getting at all how it's supposed to be the standout, catchiest track on the album. Although everyone on here seemed to say so, and before it became a single, it was the top-performing album cut, so maybe there is something wrong with my ears. The choice to use the same title of a song that's already so famous, which doesn't hurt in many instances, seemed cheesy here, along with Brandy and Monica's hopping on the remix, which seemed to be a promotional stunt to give it urban cred, which as can be seen only helped a blip.

I just don’t think you can make a successful single out of a song that already streamed really well months ago when the album came out. I wouldn’t be surprised if the same thing happens with “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”. I think it would be more beneficial to make a moment out of a song that was maybe overlooked when the album came out.

I really miss the days when eras had multiple successful post-album release singles. Most eras end after 2-3 singles these days.

I was surprised they didn’t go with the much more radio-friendly “Bye” as the single. TBIM doesn’t really seem like a pop song.

I love DWBUG, but lbr, it doesn't sound like a single material. bye and supernatural do imo, but I'm afraid eternal sunshine era (standard edition) is kinda over, she said one of her favorite songs will be on the deluxe version, so that might be the next single? Does this beat "pov" and "Everyday" as her biggest non-event ever? It certainly got more of an effort than "pov" and even "Everyday" only really got a video... I feel like everything about this song is 'not meant to be'. People were interested in this one and it went viral during the release week, but Ariana's music was blocked from TikTok and wcbf was huge. I really like her effort for tbim, live version, promo, Penn Badgley was a smart move, not to mention Monica and Brandy...and it just can't connect. Also, Ariana said it's in a way, an elevated version of fantasize, and I get it, but it doesn't have that fantasize's magic and playfulness, which did connect with a lot of people. |

WCBF had some solid longevity in the top 15 (10 weeks), but I expected much more from it, something closer to TUN and 7 rings levels lol. It's approaching 700M on Spotify with 3M+ daily streams, so definitely a big win for her in that field. |
