hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=341825Meanwhile, this week will also see the release of Eminem's hotly anticipated The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which is projected to bow on the subsequent week's chart at 300k-350k. Is there anything Tay can do to hold off the rap god's new Shady/Aftermath/Interscope set? We don't know, but we look forward to finding out.

He has no physicals right? 63 million if he keeps up that trend is probably like 115-130k. Right?

He should have some digital album sales, but think he's looking more in the 200k range then 300k. Will be very interesting to see if Taylor has anything in reserve to try to push him. For a variety of reasons, including the number 13, I suspect she would give a lot to get this 13th straight week

Whatever it is she has planned *if she has something planned* it has to be something big.

Admittedly I don't know much about how the charts work, but wouldn't it have made more sense for Eminem to get the biggest first week possible, rather than delaying physical sales? I would expect the album to be front-loaded anyway, so it doesn't seem to make sense to play the long game?

I would expect the album to be front-loaded anyway, so it doesn't seem to make sense to play the long game? Rap artists usually release without physicals because they don’t sell much pure anyways. He is obviously an outlier to most rap artists in pure sales, but also releasing without physicals allows you to work on the album and make edits/changes essentially all the way until the day before. Perhaps some artists feel comfortable with the idea they now do not have to finish an album 2-3 months prior to release then just settle on everything with no going back in order to have Vinyls/CDs ready. Katy for example already announced her release date of September, has Vinyls ready for preorder, and the tracklist is essentially finalized. However the lead single has been largely panned and people are disappointed with the collaborative choices. She theoretically could’ve benefitted from not finalizing everything so early on before she could get initial feedback to make edits & changes prior to the release.

Eminem is also very paranoid about his songs/albums leaking ever since the debacle that happened with his 3rd and 4th albums. I think that was the major reasoning behind not having physicals first week.

Yeah if the numbers keep trending down for Eminem I can Taylor Nation dropping TTPD Sped Up Version.
Honestly I'd be more than OK with that. Eminem hasn't dropped a good song in a decade, let alone a decent album.

Eminem is a legend. He will tie Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and Kanye with 11 number one albums.

No official projection yet. I've noticed the last 12 weeks they haven't been posting projections the day after releases. With the exception of Zach snd Gracie. Maybe this means Eminem's numbers are lower than previously thought.

I think the fact that Taylor didn't do anything to start the week off like she did with Billie means she may not be going for #1 this week. I really think if she ever does drop the Anthology vinyl she will give it a few weeks for pre-order as well.

Mayman there is no reason for pre-orders aside from gathering bigger first week numbers which is pointless at this stage. if she sold and shipped 60k CDs on a Tuesday then she can block Eminem on a whim with Disc 2 physicals.

Wait so how the hell did his projections balloon way up to 300-350k? The 300-350k figure was thrown out there on HDD’s *last week* article regarding Zach Bryan’s numbers. it obviously was just a random wild guess not based on anything, other than Em’s last project’s numbers, and the fact that his lead single debuted decrntky big this time. We now know his SEA wasn’t that great and he ain’t got any physicals shipping this week. I doubt he’ll be touching 200k

She could probably get another 250k+ week from vinyl alone if she shipped all of the Anthology ones at the same time. Although I guess if she wanted to extend its run at #1 she could do like 30k each week for like 6 months. All of them would sell out.

Itunes makes very little difference in sales. I say he is probably at the 130-150k mark right now.

Are these numbers taking into account the digital copies he sold on his website? He offered 2 different digital exclusives over the course of 2 weeks or so with different bonus tracks.

Kinda wanna see Taylor do it this time only because Eminem's gonna be pissed. What would give you that impression? He hasn't cared about charts in years and doesn't talk numbers. Doesn't play any of the chart manipulation tactics, is still making songs the traditional long way with 3 verses and a bridge, and doesn't promote his albums at all outside of music videos. And didn't even have physicals ready for the first week when he has a fanbase that buys his music to double his sales even further. He's like, one of the few artists left releasing music in the most organic way lol.

That was digital so it definitely counts. I bought both of those pre-orders and was emailed my downloads yesterday I believe it was, if not late Friday. I really wonder if that is being factored in. Em fans are pretty dedicated too!

Em fans are pretty dedicated too! I can’t imagine digital sales are going to count for more than 30-50k. So even if he does 50k digital and 150k SPS Taylor would only need to move an extra 80k to pass him. No way they didn’t have something up their sleeves to make that happen with such a HUGE run this is going on. She hasn’t held any punches thus far for the last three months, I can’t imagine she’s going to make an exception for Eminem
