Kinda wanna see Taylor do it this time only because Eminem's gonna be pissed. What would give you that impression? He hasn't cared about charts in years and doesn't talk numbers. Doesn't play any of the chart manipulation tactics, is still making songs the traditional long way with 3 verses and a bridge, and doesn't promote his albums at all outside of music videos. And didn't even have physicals ready for the first week when he has a fanbase that buys his music to double his sales even further. He's like, one of the few artists left releasing music in the most organic way lol. All the numerous references to how he's gonna get cancelled, Nicki and Meg references and transphobic lyrics when in reality no one cares gave me the feel that he wanted controversy of some sort plus it's a woman beating him you know he's gonna be mad 🫢 |

He's also very much supportive of trans people and out right says it on the album. He also has a nonbinary daughter. So, no. He doesn't care about sales at all. I think that's more than clear. |

Even in the screenshot you can see the first two for Whitney are for Canada, so they wouldn't even count in the U.S. This doesn't seem to be a valid comparison.

Swifties can’t be that proudly dense. Whitney’s “versions” are all the exact same tracklist, cover art, and have no differentiation. They just have different universal purchase codes.

What Eminem's new album seems to be doing is what I would have thought a few months ago (if not a little better), but then "Houidini" performed better than I expected so now Eminem's numbers feel disappointing. It's kind of weird. Swifties can’t be that proudly dense. Um, yes they can lol (I'll hope Rose "Payola" Nylund was being facetious in saying Whitney got owned). And yeah, not only are those versions for different country codes, but they weren't new versions being released on a weekly basis to keep her at #1. Like, there is no actual parallel there. |

The album itself is fantastic (Eminem) but I personally do not support digital only releases. As a huge fan of Eminem, even I did not purchase the album. I am from the era of collecting cds lol so I will purchase a physical copy when I can. I have been streaming it a lot over the weekend though but I just do not care for a digital album when I have spotify account.

That’s from the same early forecast that accounts are just reposting. I think HDD assumed he was going to have physicals and factored that in their early prediction before the album dropped.

Of course I want Eminem to win, but why is Taylor "giving up"? Or am I confused? Isn't the record most consecutive #1 since debut? Just seems strange to me lol. I know there is another record for just most weeks at #1 so is she just going in to that? It is unlikely(?) she will ever be able to get this close to debut #1 weeks again so I really thought she was going to whip out the anthology this week.
