I mean sure, but people can also say the same about "Espresso," and really more so since it's never gotten to #1 or even #2. "Million Dollar Baby" never hit #1. We could have also said the same about "A Bar Song," but it finally hit #1. I think the issue is more that we've had a lot of big hits in recent months, but they obviously can't all be #1 every week. If "Not Like Us" gets 3 weeks at #1, then no song this year will have more weeks at #1 except for "I Had Some Help." Other than Espresso I see very little conversation around the other tracks, especially outside of chart watchers discussing. The Drake beef is still getting quoted on award and TV shows and social media. And Espresso is... Espresso. I do see conversation around the other tracks (especially "A Bar Song"), but I'm not sure what our individual experiences have to do with it. Also, I'd argue 'the beef' is separate from a specific song. "Not Like Us" is huge of course, but not every reference to 'the beef' is due to "NLU" specifically.

Lose Control... please... just go away. The only thing keeping this year from having a fully dynamic fresh top 10.

so how do the day 1/2 stream for Eminem compare to other hip hop recent releases? or pop in general (besides Taylor_) lol
I am a bit sad to see no songs in top 10 hot 100 besides Houdini though. Oh well

However, to best answer your question this is getting minimal airplay elsewhere, not enough to be a real crossover. Sunday's published mediabase had its Country audience only at 36.956 vs this Billboard total airplay estimate at 44.66.

I wonder if Charli would do what it takes to get 360 to the top ten, or at least the top 20. The song is still lingering in the middle of the top 100 on Spotify, it feels a bit wrong the song is not high in the charts considering the movement surrounding the Brat album.

She will not; Charli just isn't that popular (sadly). It would need a very big name remix or a huge TikTok trend. And if we're going to wishcast Brat songs rocketing up the chart, let's go all the way and hope 365 gets there ;)

I know she didnβt chart anything on Spotify afaik, but iβm surprised Megan Moroney was able to get a couple of songs form her album on Apple Music. Iβm not holding out high hope for her to get a song on the Hot 100 this week but hopefully she gets one. A bit crazy that after this her chances of getting a Hot 100 entry are still slim but she was able to get 4 songs on the Apple Music charts and not just 2.

But, maybe it's too different to be counted as the same song. Also, regarding the first post, I think the fact that Charli is having a lasting hit at all on the Hot 100 is huge for her. Sure, an even higher placement would be great on the chart, but I'm celebrating it as a pretty huge win.

kworb's Billboard Radio Songs Estimates Β« 2024 Β» / Β« 07 Β» / Β« 15 Β» 10(=) Morgan Wallen - Cowgirls (feat. ERNEST) 44.66(+0.25) Wait, is this getting crossover play, or has airplay gotten to the point where songs can make the top 10 off country play alone? (This has likely been a thing and I just hadn't paid attention.) Yes, it's definitely the case that more and more songs are making the top 10 or near top 10 off of country airplay alone. Even Outskirts by Sam Hunt, which received no crossover play and seemed like a non-event even in the country world, peaked at #10 on Radio Songs. I think country songs are ranking much higher than they used to on Radio Songs because audience levels for that format are decreasing much less than they have for other formats. Interestingly though, and I haven't quite been comparing the numbers lately, but it also seems that the mediabase numbers are always much higher than Billboard for country songs compared to other genres, I guess because there are a lot more country stations on the mediabase panel than the ones used by Billboard.

Charli's "360" holding at #53 on spotify (peak #52, but has a number of Eminem songs ahead so hopefully it'll climb top 50 soon) and "Apple" now up to a new peak of #150. Charli's streaming success for the album is beyond anything I could imagine in the US *_* It looks like it'll become her most successful album. Not many people can say their 6th album is their most successful!

I cannot wait for Drake to drop his next album and show you all how it's done. Kendrick success is based off of 1 song mainly and other big feature songs. Without dissing Drake, he would have had nothing this year (obviously)
additonally, Not like Us is pop culture moment and yeah it is a great song and I love it and many casual people are testing him out and listening a few times. But as people like to tell me okay Drake was on top because his streams were spread through multiple songs and he has more songs than Kendrick. Okay well Kendricks are mostly because of a single song about Drake sooo

So, Iβm interested in what you mean by βshowing how itβs doneβ.

Drake is obviously still the biggest artist after Taylor, but the fact that his last multiweek #1 was in 2018 is very telling. His 2020s material is really...something.

Okay well Kendricks are mostly because of a single song about Drake sooo In a general sense Drake has been bigger no doubt, but let's not act like Kendrick is currently some one-hit wonder. "HUMBLE" has over 2 billion streams on Spotify. He has several other songs that are well over 1 billion streams.

I'm not saying Kendrick is a one hit wonder. But the reason he is climbing up on the streaming charts right now is because of Not Like Us, a singular song. Without that, he would just go back to being a critical favorite but his streams ultimately would have never been like this without the beef with Drake. This could really be beneficial to both artists in the long run.

So a singular song outplaying many many songs?

Because of a curiosity factor. But again, none of this matters. Point is, people are acting like Drake is finished and has no career anymore. Which is absolutely not true. Just as Kendrick changed his style to release an out of ordinary song Not like us for him, Drake can also shift his musical output.
