If this is true, please don't let it sound like any of Bruno's music for the past ten years. I know I am probably an outlier but the only album I enjoyed by him is his debut. Every thing after that is a skip for me.

I could definitely hear Gaga on a song with a similar sound to ‘When I Was Your Man’. Their voices would mesh really well on a ballad.

I'm sure it would be good as a ballad - obviously both of them have had standalone success with ballads BUT personally, I would prefer something uptempo but it seems they are working towards building in the fall so I guess it makes sense ?

When I read it was a ballad, my assumption was that it was a single from the joker movie, because a dramatic ballad would make sense as a soundtrack single - but apparently it’s for Bruno’s new album. Maybe he’s doing a themed retro ballad classic duets style album?

There's no way Gaga was gonna be in a musical and not write an original song to go for another Oscar. This has to be for the film based on the title.

Her ballads are usually pretty bad IMO, so hopefully Bruno has a strong hand in this.

Yes. That's what has always astonished me about Gaga in particular. She has delivered so many lousy ballads, I mean... never mind failing to deliver that one extraordinary ballad (think IWALY), her ballads are more often than not just not up to par. They range from decent at best ("Million Reasons") to horrible ("Yoü and I"). A person so musically gifted and expertised like her and she can't come up with a killer melody, a great bridge, a perfectly placed modulation...? 🤷‍♂️ Bruno, on the other hand, can crank out a stellar ballad in his sleep, so fingers crossed he's had a big part in this new song.

Girl plea. I suggest you listen to the classics "Shallow," "Always Remember Us This Way" and "I'll Never Love Again" and the power ballad "Hold My Hand" before posting about Gaga ballads.
