My fave Youtube comment is this:

Individually, they've been the soundtrack to so much of my life and have shown such immense dedication to their crafts and talents that hearing them on this together and seeing their chemistry together in the video just hit me differently and maybe brought a tear or two to my eyes? I love seeing artists killing it at these different stages in their careers.

Beautiful song that only gets better with each listen. Bruno is A+, Gaga is A+, The future classic track is A+, and the video is A+.

Guys, I listened to it finally and omg this is such a beautifully constructed song. Both artists play off on each other’s strengths very well, Gaga doesn’t end up belting her notes in a jarring way and what a sweet, sweet music video!!
There are little things that Gaga was doing even when the focus wasn’t on her took me by surprise, like her chewing the cigarette stub, leaning across the piano, raising one eyebrow etc.

I am very very happy with this release, to tide me over till LG7!

Now that you mention it… this probably is my favorite ballad she’s ever been involved with pretty easily. Also typically not the biggest fan of her ballads, even Shallow (though ARUTW is great and 1000 Doves is the hidden gem of Chromatica).

If it's not joker-related, I wouldn't be surprised to see them play this off as a promo single. The lack of promo leading up to it makes it feel less like "this is the debut single for gaga/bruno's new album" and more "hey guys, remember bruno and gaga exist, they're releasing music again". That being said, it seems successful so far, so its a promo single (positive connotation) not promo single (negative connotation).

It is interesting, because according to the press release, it was Bruno's song and idea and they finished it together so he kind of gave it to her. Which is why Gaga has nothing special planned around this.

She confirmed it’s not attached to LG7. Seems unclear about Joker, but I would lean towards yes. The lyrics fit perfectly with the movie essentially being a Harley/Joker love story where both characters are doomed, and the way she almost has a subtle clown look going on with her eyelashes/eye makeup in the video points towards Joker related imo.
