DWAS ending the tracking week by topping the 3 biggest streaming platforms Spotify (probably still no.1 based on huge Artist Ranking jump) Apple Music (live chart) Amazon MusicH100 No.1 contender for the new tracking Week after topping TTH I think A Bar Song is still #1 there. You need to log in to see explicit songs on their chart. Also still has a lot of room to cover for radio difference against A Bar Song.

The song knocked back Good Luck Babe! which fell back to #2 but only with a 2.63% decrease. Although it's unlikely either song will be #1 next week, not just with Sabrina Carpenter's new album dropping, but also becuase Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' duet Die With A Smile grew and grew all week and despite it debuting outside of the Top 10, was actually the highest debut at #4 with 13M streams. Belong Together surprisingly fell by 15.94% despite Mark Ambor's album dropping while Mamushi dropped 10.97% from it's Music Video boost from last week. Meanwhiile Pour Me A Drink and Guy For That saw massive boosts of 135.66% and 43.39%, thanks to Post's album. All in all, Post nearly doubled the debut streams of AUSTIN as F-1 Trillion clocked in 96M for its debut week. Although it has already started slipping so it will likely have a steep drop next week. Elsewhere, we saw gains for Sailor Song and NEL as their momentum continues, and we saw debuts from Hozier's new EP, LISA and ROSALIA's collab, and the Marias notch their first solo entry. Notable Gains:Pour Me A Drink - 135.66% Guy For That - 43.39% I Had Some Help - 31.51% September - 19.48% Sailor Song - 18.63% Dial Drunk - 14.25% Sweater Weather - 12.83% Broken Clocks - 12.66% NEL - 12.46% When I Was Your Man - 11.96% Lovers Rock - 10.54% Don't - 10.3% I Wanna Be Yours - 9.88%

Any chance for BIRDS OF A FEATHER to be No.1 at least 1 week? maybe if she pays bieber again I know you're trolling but for context the week bad guy finally went #1 it was helped by exclusive cassette singles; the Bieber remix was old news by then.

Was hoping Espresso might jump up enough for album release for h100 #1. It will forever be bizarre PPP was #1 and Espresso won’t be.
Reminds me a bit of the Bye Bye Bye/Its Gonna Be Me situation at the time. Though in that case, the latter established itself as one of their most relevant hits years down the line thanks to the meme.

maybe if she pays bieber again I know you're trolling but for context the week bad guy finally went #1 it was helped by exclusive cassette singles; the Bieber remix was old news by then. looking up the stats, the remix still got 3.2 million streams from Spotify alone that week. those millions of streams didn't help the song at all? the pulse thread about that week indicates there was less than a 1% gap between 1 and 2. So I'm pretty sure several million streams from the remix mattered and was not "old news."

"Jimin - Who" now has 34% US paid audio lmfaoo, legit unprecedented scammery via free Spotify accounts and <5,000 obsessed stans mass-streaming on multiple free Spotify accounts with 80 streams per account per day eligible to count for its single charting version. It's going to keep freefalling on the Hot 100 (thanks to streaming tiers actually being useful in this scenario) until its audio is only 1% paid — no PAYING subscriber — not even his "fans" are listening to that garbage song at this point, only their free bots emanating sounds through non-worn headphones. Spotify should start weighing streams for their charts. If they did, Flowers would be #1 fastest to 1 billion paid-equivalent streams, Seven OUT. Is 80 streams per account a hardrule for the filtered Spotify chart, the Hot 100/Streaming Songs, or both? Thanks in advance.

As far as we know Spotify only filters what they consider to be "bot activity" from their charts - meaning the number you see on their charts is free + paid streams weighed the same. Most people seem to agree playing the same song on a loop results on it getting filtered out of there.
Hot 100 and Streaming Songs takes those already filtered numbers and weighs them by the type of account - paid gives more chart points. But as far as we know they don't filter bot activity because they rely on platforms doing that; there are probably several transparency targets a platform has to achieve in order to be considered for the Hot 100 so it's in the best interest of all Streaming outlets to provide the most accurate numbers possible.

Could Million Dollar Baby actually move back up and get to #1 this September? I think Good Luck Babe will be #1 too, probably next month. Also, hopefully Billboard can go back to the chart years ending in November and not October.

I felt like adding a totally curious question, but I wonder what song that was on a Hot 100 Year End for a particular year has the earliest peak when compared to that particular year and didn't make any previous Year End's is. The one that stays in my mind is "Gotta Be Somebody" peaking on October 18th of 2008 but was only on the 2009 YE and not the 2008 YE (since 10/18/08 was also the day it debuted), but I'm pretty sure there are some from the 70s that went even earlier for that scenario, since some of those years had November-October chart years too.

There is too much competition coming . Tate McRae new single is dropping, Lady Gaga supposed to have something, The Weeknd, countless others that will be big on the charts. I doubt MDB will be moving up again and I sure hope it wont.

Interesting topic. To begin, though their peaks wouldn't be very early, for #1 singles, Exhale debuted at #1 the very last week of the tracking year for 1995, Easy on Me and Anti-Hero were #1 for 2 or 3 weeks (forgot how many exactly) at the end of the tracking periods for 2021 and 2022, respectively, and Lauryn Hill's Doo-Wop (That Thing) debuted at #1 for two weeks, and then dropped to #2 for the last 3 weeks of 1998. For the pre-Soundscan era, there was also Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, which first reached #1 the chart week of 11-17-1984 for a total of 3 weeks, and only made the 1985 year-end (at #3), but I'm not quite sure when the cut-off was for that year.

yall tripping lol. the gaga and mars song will not debut at top 5, might not even at top 10. the posty album is easily doing 250k-300k, will probably block sabrina next week. shes at most debuting at 150k, potentially 80k. Well you got 1 out of 3 right. Just barely though since he did 250k. You were almost 0 for 3.

Monster Mash might be the overall answer, peaking on the 10/20/1962 Hot 100 and making its first Year-End list in 1973. Sticking with the spirit of the original question, FE!N peaked on the 8/12/2023 Hot 100, did not make the 2023 Year-End, and will (probably) make the 2024 Year-End.

I'm a bit bummed that Charli's 360 and Apple stalled before they could make the top 40 (360 peaking at #41, so close!). Do we think they have more life left in them, or is brat summer coming to a close?
