yall tripping lol. the gaga and mars song will not debut at top 5, might not even at top 10. the posty album is easily doing 250k-300k, will probably block sabrina next week. shes at most debuting at 150k, potentially 80k. Well you got 1 out of 3 right. Just barely though since he did 250k. You were almost 0 for 3. That user must be addicted to taking L’s. So much confidence, so little accuracy.

I'm a bit bummed that Charli's 360 and Apple stalled before they could make the top 40 (360 peaking at #41, so close!). Do we think they have more life left in them, or is brat summer coming to a close? Theyre just making way for Sympathy is a knife feat Taylor to dominate fall hihi

Wow - looks like TOTC predicted #1 wrong— first time that’s happened in recent memory. They had ”I Had Some Help” returning to #1 w/Posty’s album bomb.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” adds a seventh nonconsecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single, which became the singer-songwriter’s first leader on the list in July, claims outright 2024’s longest reign, surpassing the six nonconsecutive weeks on top for Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen. The latter, now at No. 2, led the chart in May-July.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” likewise logs the sole longest command this year on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart, notching an 11th week at No. 1. It bests Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which ruled for 10 weeks in February-April.
Also in the Hot 100’s top 10, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars blast in at No. 3 with “Die With a Smile.” The superstar pairing marks the 19th top 10 for the latter and the 18th for the former. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Aug. 31, 2024) will update on Billboard.com Tuesday, Aug. 27. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published. ‘Tipsy’ Tops in Airplay “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” on American Dogwood/EMPIRE (with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music), totaled 88.2 million radio airplay audience impressions (essentially even week-over-week), 32.5 million official streams (down 2%) and 13,000 sold (up 5%) in the United States Aug. 16-22. The track posts a fourth week at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart. It dips to No. 2 on Digital Song Sales, after 11 weeks on top, and Streaming Songs, following five frames at the summit.
Most Weeks at No. 1 on Hot 100 in 2024
As “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” takes over for the longest stay at No. 1 on the Hot 100 this year, here’s a look at the songs that have led for multiple weeks since January:
7 weeks, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, beginning July 13 6 weeks, “I Had Some Help,” Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen, beginning May 25 *5 weeks, “Lovin On Me,” Jack Harlow (*6 total weeks at No. 1, beginning Dec. 2, 2023) 3 weeks, “Like That,” Future, Metro Boomin & Kendrick Lamar, beginning April 6 2 weeks, “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar, beginning May 18 2 weeks, “Fortnight,” Taylor Swift feat. Post Malone, beginning May 4 2 weeks, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Beyoncé, beginning March 2
Country Hits at Nos. 1 & 2 for Record-Tying Sixth Straight Week
Thanks to Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” titles that have led the Hot Country Songs chart have ranked at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously on the Hot 100 for the past six weeks. (The latter topped Hot Country Songs for seven weeks in May-July.) The streak ties for the longest in the Hot 100’s history, after country hits took the top two spots for six consecutive weeks last August-September, via Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town”; Wallen’s “Last Night”; Luke Combs’ “Fast Car”; Oliver Anthony Music’s “Rich Men North of Richmond”; and Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything,” featuring Kacey Musgraves.
“I Had Some Help” remains the hottest hit on the Songs of the Summer chart, where it dominates for a 13th week, having led each week since the seasonal survey returned after Memorial Day.
Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars Bound In at No. 3 Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” surges onto the Hot 100 at No. 3 with 27.4 million streams, 13 million in radio reach and 21,000 sold (digital and physical singles combined). The duet, released Aug. 16, also starts at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales (becoming the former’s 10th No. 1 and the latter’s ninth).
Bruno Mars earns his 19th Hot 100 top 10 and Lady Gaga, her 18th. Mars had last reached the region with the No. 5-peaking “Smokin Out the Window,” as half of Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak, in November 2021; Gaga last hit the top 10 with the No. 1 “Rain on Me,” with Ariana Grande, in June 2020.
How rare is it for artists to share a Hot 100 top 10 with the résumés of Mars and Gaga? “Die With a Smile” is just the sixth hit in the chart’s 66-year archives in which two acts up their counts to 18 or more top 10s (a feat that, naturally, becomes more attainable deeper into the chart’s history). Below is a recap of the select songs with such star power, and the acts’ top 10 totals at the time of each entry. Drake and Michael Jackson each claim two titles below:
“Die With a Smile” – Bruno Mars’ 19th Hot 100 top 10, Lady Gaga’s 18th / No. 3 peak (to date), Aug. 31, 2024 “Love All” – Drake raised his total from 45 to 54 top 10s with nine debuts including “Love All,” Jay-Z’s 22nd / No. 10, Sept. 18, 2021 “Don’t Matter to Me” – Drake raised his total from 26 to 30 top 10s with four new top 10s including “Don’t Matter to Me,” Michael Jackson’s 30th / No. 9, July 14, 2018 “FourFiveSeconds” – Rihanna’s 26th top 10, Paul McCartney’s 23rd (not counting The Beatles’ then-34 with him as a member; Kanye West, also co-billed, added his 15th) / No. 4, Feb. 28, 2015 “Scream” – Michael Jackson’s 26th top 10, Janet Jackson’s 20th / No. 5, June 17, 1995 “That’s What Friends Are For,” Stevie Wonder’s 27th top 10, Elton John’s 20th (co-billed, Dionne Warwick added her 12th top 10 and Gladys Knight, her eighth) / No. 1 (4 weeks), Jan. 18, 1986
Rest of the Top 10: ‘Not Like Us’ & More
Below “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” “I Had Some Help” and “Die With a Smile” at Nos. 1, 2 and 3, respectively, on the Hot 100, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” dips 3-4, following two weeks on top. It leads the multimetric Hot Rap Songs chart for a 15th week and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a 13th week.
Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” repeats at its No. 5 Hot 100 best. It also tops the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts for a third week each.
Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” rises 7-6 on the Hot 100, returning to its high, and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” slips 4-7, after reaching No. 3, while her “Please Please Please” descends 8-9, after it became her first No. 1 in June.
Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” falls 6-8 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 2, as it posts a 17th week atop the multimetric Hot R&B Songs chart.
Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” which led the Hot 100 for a week in March, descends 9-10.

It doesn't look like Billboard provided any totals for "I Had Some Help." It says "A Bar Song" is #1 in airplay, #2 in streams (presumably behind "IHSM"), and #2 in sales (behind "DWAS"). So, "A Bar Song" led "IHSM" in 2 of the 3 metrics. I wonder how close they were in streams. "A Bar Song" - 32.5 million streams, 88.2 million impressions, 13,000 sales

^I suspect they'll be doing a separate article for Post's tracks this week that include the data for IHSM.

Also, wonder how close ABS is to IHSH in Songs of the Summer chart.

Miss Shaboozey came through and defeated the evil!!! Hoping both songs start to quickly drop and allow Billie, Chappell or Sabrina to take over #1.

Bruno Mars earns his 19th Hot 100 top 10 and Lady Gaga, her 18th.
It makes sense when you step back and think about the different eras. I bet most would've though LG was ahead, especially on Pulse!

The set starts atop the Billboard 200 & Top Country Albums.
Post Malone is back with another massive week on Billboard’s charts, thanks to his new album F-1 Trillion.
The set launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated Aug. 31) with 250,000 equivalent album units earned in its opening week, according to Luminate. That’s the second-biggest week of 2024 for a country album, following the opening frame of Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter (407,000 units) in April. F-1 Trillion also becomes Post Malone’s first No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.
All 18 songs from F-1 Trillion’s standard edition chart on the Billboard Hot 100 – including all 15 collaborations – led by former six-week No. 1 “I Had Some Help” at No. 2. Here’s a recap (all of which are debuts except where noted):
Rank, Title:
No. 2, “I Had Some Help,” feat. Morgan Wallen (holds at No. 2; spent six weeks at No. 1 in May-July) No. 13, “Pour Me a Drink,” feat. Blake Shelton (up from No. 30; peaked at No. 12 in July) No. 17, “Guy for That,” feat. Luke Combs (up from No. 36; returns to peak) No. 23, “Wrong Ones,” feat. Tim McGraw No. 25, “Losers,” feat. Jelly Roll No. 34, “California Sober,” feat. Chris Stapleton No. 40, “What Don’t Belong to Me” No. 42, “Finer Things,” feat. Hank Williams Jr. No. 50, “Nosedive,” feat. Lainey Wilson No. 54, “Yours” No. 56, “Have the Heart,” feat. Dolly Parton No. 60, “Goes Without Saying,” feat. Brad Paisley No. 63, “Missin’ You Like This,” feat. Luke Combs No. 65, “Hide My Gun,” feat. HARDY No. 66, “Devil I’ve Been,” feat. ERNEST No. 78, “Never Love You Again,” feat. Sierra Ferrell No. 83, “M-E-X-I-C-O,” feat. Billy Strings No. 88, “Right About You”
(The standard edition of F-1 Trillion was released on Aug. 16 and sports 18 songs. Later on Aug. 16, Post Malone released a deluxe reissue, dubbed the “Long Bed” edition, with nine additional solo tracks by the singer.)
Post Malone also charts a 19th song on the latest Hot 100: Taylor Swift’s former two-week No. 1 “Fortnight,” on which he’s featured, ranks at No. 55. The haul marks a new weekly best, surpassing his 18 entries on May 12, 2018, when his album beerbongs & bentleys made its chart arrival.
With 15 debuts, Post Malone ups his career total to 95 career Hot 100 entries. Of those, 48 have reached the top 40, 13 have made the top 10 and six have hit No. 1. He first appeared on the chart dated Sept. 26, 2015, with his breakthrough hit “White Iverson.”
Multiple guests on F-1 Trillion make notable visits to the Hot 100. Thanks to his feature on “Finer Things,” Hank Williams Jr. tallies his fourth career entry on the chart, and first since “A Country Boy Can Survive (Y2K Version),” with Chad Brock and George Jones, in 2000. Before that, he had last charted in 1964 with “Long Gone Lonesome Blues” and “Endless Sleep.” “Finer Things,” at No. 42, is now the highest-charting song of his career.
With her role on “Have the Heart,” Dolly Parton adds her 22nd career Hot 100 hit and second this year, after “Tyrant,” with Beyoncé. Before that, she had last charted via her featured turn on Brad Paisley’s “When I Get Where I’m Going” in 2006. This marks the first calendar year that Parton has charted multiple songs since 1985, when she logged two duets with Kenny Rogers—“The Greatest Gift of All” and “Real Love.”
Plus, Billy Strings scores his first career Hot 100 entry thanks to his featured appearance on “M-E-X-I-C-O.” The 31-year-old bluegrass star has already forged a successful history on Billboard’s rankings, including seven career entries on the Bluegrass Albums chart:
Peak Position, Title, Year
No. 3, Turmoil & Tinfoil, 2017 No. 1 (25 weeks), Home, 2019 No. 10, An OurVinyl Sessions (EP), 2019 No. 1 (9 weeks), Renewal, 2021 No. 1 (16 weeks), Me / And / Dad, 2022 No. 6, Meet Me at the Creek / Pyramid Country / Must Be Seven / Meet Me at the Creek (Live at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, NC 3/4/23), 2023 No. 1 (5 weeks), Live, Vol. 1, 2024
He has spent 55 total weeks at No. 1 on the Bluegrass Albums chart in his career (encompassing the No. 1 runs of his four leaders). That’s the fifth-most since the list launched in 2002, after Alison Krauss (242), Steve Martin (83), Nickel Creek (82) and Old Crow Medicine Show (66).
Three of his albums have also reached the Billboard 200: Renewal (No. 82 peak), Me / And / Dad (No. 37) and Live, Vol. 1 (No. 58). He has also raked in six Grammy Award nominations, winning for best bluegrass album in 2021 for Home.

Not really, Bruno has been a way more consistent hit maker. If anything I would think Bruno would have a much bigger lead without any prior chart knowledge. Even with his large album breaks Bruno has still had smash hits every few years the past decade. Mid 2010s was Uptown Funk, late 2010s was 24K/That's What I Like/Finesse, early 2020s he had Leave The Door Open prior to this week. The past decade Shallow is really only Gaga's contender of a smash hit (and even then it did kinda underwhelming on radio), anything else was a very moderate hit at best.

The last time TOTC (well, predictors on the account) got the #1 wrong in finals was As It Was vs First Class in 2022 (Kendrick Lamar's album bomb)
Airplay being much lower for IHSH (for some reason?) or those complete my album's from iTunes stuffed this week as it was too close to call

Yep, and pop radio has been sort of "allergic" to Gaga for years now - Shallow reached #19, Rain on Me #10 and Bloody Mary #10. If this goes top 5, it'd exceptional. I'd be happy with top ten even.

Sad to see Hozier flopping with his new song. It's interesting how we're see the women like Sabrina, Billie and Chappell get multiple hits in a short period of time while the guys are struggling to build on their first hits. Teddy swims, benson and hozier followups not doing much at least not yet

If DWAS wins Grammys for song / record of the year its staying power on the charts is potentially very long.

Sad to see Hozier flopping with his new song. It's interesting how we're see the women like Sabrina, Billie and Chappell get multiple hits in a short period of time while the guys are struggling to build on their first hits. Teddy swims, benson and hozier followups not doing much at least not yet Teddy and Benson scream one hit wonder to me and Hozier has never been a consistent hitmaker whatsoever. I wouldn't put them close to Billie (streaming force for years now) or Sabrina and Chappell who are having huge surges through multiple songs because they've been discovered by the mainstream after years. By that same metric in recent years female acts like GAYLE and Tate McRae have failed to turn huge hits into a consistent single run (in the case of Gayle, not even enough to mantain any type of mainstream career imo).
