Gaga was coming off a much bigger break. Abel mantained a presence even without a new album pretty much until a few months ago (the Popular video I think?). There's really not a lot of "comeback hype" to inflate week 1.

And it's kind of a been there done that lackluster single.

The Idol also hurt his image a bit although I'm not sure how much of that would play into this.

Sure but no one watches videos these days, except for the most viral stuff like WCBF and Taste. I think the video was likely a non-entity, didn't help, didn't hurt.

As I've said many times before a new song from morgan wallen is Coming this week or next week. He is only who can stop shaboozey. It's more catchy than lies lies lies and a music video is coming too.

The October-November period tends to be insanely weak with few big releases, so Shaboozey could theoretically lead until Mariah appears. Last year we had Cruel Summer topping with 195 points lmao. 2022 had As It Was, Bad Habit, etc. with like 200 under the current formula, too.

We can't let Shaboozey get to 14 weeks. Hopefully Drake puts out a banger in response to Lamar's "Not Like Us." Or maybe Morgan Wallen will stir it up. I could also see Shaboozey putting out a remix -- maybe with a country artist like Jelly Roll or Blake Shelton or maybe with an urban artist like Usher or Kendrick Lamar. It will be an interesting next few weeks, needless to say.
