LOL! They sound like little girls trying to be hard asses. You could hear them? ;) But yeah, I see what you mean. They think they're "the cool kids" on the block.

What are the highest debuts on the alternative chart? This seems like the highest.

lame. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. What are the highest debuts on the alternative chart? This seems like the highest. Well, #1 can't exactly be beaten.

On Radio & Records' Alternative chart, "What's the Frequency, Kenneth" debuted at #5.

Didn't "Somewhere I Belong" also debut at #1 before Meteora was released in 2003?

Are those the only songs to debut at #1? I could've sworn that Urban had 2 or 3 top 5 debuts. I was wondering about the highest Alternative debuts, because most chart sites only care about the pop chart.

• In the nearly 19-year history of the Alternative/Modern Rock radio chart, only three singles have debuted at No. 1. Lucky No. 3 this week is Linkin Park's "What I've Done," which also becomes the band's sixth consecutive chart-topper. It's the first single from the group's third studio set, "Minutes to Midnight," which will be released May 15 ... All three debuts at No. 1 on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart have come from Warner Bros. acts. The first single to bow at No. 1 was R.E.M.'s "What's the Frequency Kenneth?" on Sept. 24, 1994. The second was Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Dani California" on April 22, 2006 ... "What I've Done" also opens at No. 3 on the Active Rock chart, which is that list's highest entry since Tool's "Vicarious" launched at No. 2 last April.

Reminds me of the South Park in the fall of '04, where Diddy and his goons paid Stan a visit.

This song reminds me of To The Moon & Back by Savage Garden, it's basically a cover of it.

This song reminds me of To The Moon & Back by Savage Garden, it's basically a cover of it. That's not a bad comparison, although I think this obviously has more of a rock influence to it, but I think you're right nevertheless.

This song reminds me of To The Moon & Back by Savage Garden, it's basically a cover of it. I don't see how since the two songs sound nothing like each other. And I actually like Savage Garden, mind you, so it's nothing against the comparison, I just don't think it's accurate in any way.

No one has mentioned how this has been stuck at #3 on Active Rock and may struggle to get a week (if any) at #1.

No one has mentioned how this has been stuck at #3 on Active Rock and may struggle to get a week (if any) at #1. Maybe cause it's now at #2 and "Breath" no longer has a bullet. Just give it a few weeks, it'll happen.

Are you looking at the Mediabase chart or what? Cause the Mediabase chart for Active Rock has it at #2.

They're #3 on the r2r panel and #2 on the r2m panel. Before merging with Billboard, R&R used the r2r panel for its charts, so many still use that as their main reference (including me).

Although I enjoy this single, I'd have to say I'm infatuated with the new 30 second clip of Given Up. www.sendspace.com/file/gki5yiIt screams Hybrid Theory a bit and it's a new edge for Linkin Park. Just my opinion, though. No one has to follow that. Though I haven't heard the entirety of this song, I'm enjoying this track much more than What I've Done already - just being 30 seconds (chorus) and all. Added - One minute clip of Given Up: www.sendspace.com/file/ccdnmgThe one minute clip is just an extended screaming session of the original 30 second clip with some additional wordage.

Wow...Yeah, very Hybrid Theory, but I like it.
Does Chester say "heck" or "fuck"? I remember in the good old days they said cursing in songs was just distracting...

That was only 30 seconds long, but it had every single modern rock cliche in the past 5 years. Terrible.
