I just listened to the album version of this, and it has a mariachi intro. I think that was what the band was talking about when the working title for this song was "Mexico".

They're touring with The Police right now. They released an album in 2003 on MCA Records but were dropped. They're now on Bieler Bros. Records with a new album called Left Side Of The Brain.

Fiction Plane is getting a lot of airplay here on WPBZ. It keeps getting a lot of votes here on the Top 5 @ 10 program they have nightly voted by the fans.

There's a silver spoon if I ever saw one. No, HERE'S a silver spoon if I ever saw one...I couldn't help it But anywho...this album is absolutely awesome. I got the Best Buy version and the 50 minutes just flies by. Steven Smith of Steven's Untitled Rock Show appears on That's What You Get, which aside from Crushcrushcrush is my favorite song on the album and Sebastian Davin of Dropping Daylight does piano on three of the tracks. His vocals are amazing and yet, they didn't use 'em. They didn't need 'em really. I really hope they eventually do something about Breathe, which was a song that was tracked for their first album and never made it. That song will be huge one day.

I like this song, especially when I read that it was about the importance of letting go rather than being a mean bitch.

No, HERE'S a silver spoon if I ever saw one...I couldn't help it I'm glad you couldn't. That was badass. It also reminds me of when Luke Perry hosted SNL way back when and they did one of those Sassy's Sassiest Boys talk shows. Luke was on there playing Rick Schroeder and Phil Hartman (the host) kept insisting on calling him Ricky, much to his chagrin. Doing what? Just want to say that the lead singer of this band is apparently on the new cover of Alternative Press, and she looks a little like a parakeet.
Or a cockatoo.

While I've always thought she does look a little "off" with that bright orange hair, a popular type of bird has never came up in my mind, but that's a good one.

I love the album version intro!! I understand why they took it out for the single version, but I think it's one of the coolest things I've heard in a song in quite a while!

I don't think it would be fair to only put well-known and popular bands on the cover of a magazine. After all, it's great advertising for up-and-comers.

"crushcrushcrush" hopefully. Forget about Avril Lavigne, that is a song that Gwen Stefani and Shirley Manson would be proud of. It was a "Warped Tour" edition cover with her and some other guys. and I think the whole band does deserve a cover way more than bands like The Academy Is, Saosin, and Motion City Soundtrack. So . You tell 'em, Tortuga. Holla!

Um, Avenged Sevenfold were already a big deal when they got their cover. "Bat Country" was a gigantic rock radio hit at the time.
Are you really trying to say here that The Academy Is..., Saosin, Motion City Soundtrack, and Paramore have all had success on a comparable level with Avenged Sevenfold? What, are you kidding me? Even if I hated Avenged Sevenfold I'd say this was preposterous.

Hey, I like A7X as much as the next guy (OK, maybe not you). However, A7X didn't "break through" until 2006, when they made the cover. Paramore are on their way up the charts, and have basically been one of the hot "Buzz" bands around that scene for awhile. Paramore are young, I know. But they formed in 2001. But, as tortuga mentioned, AP magazine places young "Buzz" bands on their cover all the time. Bad Religion and Less Than Jake shouldn't be on every cover. You just don't like Paramore because you feel they aren't "original" enough for your taste.
And Hayley Williams is just a hottie. She's 18, too. I checked. So I'm happy.

She's 18, too. I checked. So I'm happy. Yes, that's what I just said: that Avenged didn't make the cover of AP until they earned it. (I don't know why you edited in a picture of it. I remember when I bought it off the newsstand.) Paramore haven't earned one yet. But since it's apparently the annual Warped Tour cover with various artists on the cover, we shouldn't even be singling them out. It's OK for Hayley to be on the cover with 3 other Warped band representatives. And mind you, Avenged were a hot underground buzz-band in their scene for years, themselves. So what. And it's only been this year that it's really been noticeable that up-and-comers are getting more and more of the AP covers. And I think that's because AP has boxed itself too far into the Fuse/emo crowd, where there really isn't a whole lot to draw from anymore. It's got nothing to do with how I feel about Paramore's music. I like Panic! at the Disco and Amy Winehouse just fine, but they sure didn't deserve their own Rolling Stone covers. And why does the fact that Hayley is 18 make you happy? So you can ogle her all you want and not feel guilty? So, if she were only *gasp* seventeen still, you'd feel dirty about it?

Yeah, I'd also say "Crushcrushcrush" will probably be the second single. It also seems like one of the more Alternative-friendly tracks. I'd love to see "That's What You Get" get a chance too!
