This is quickly growing on me, I'm enjoying it.
But I'm not gonna bother making any predictions, since I still think 'Slave 4 U' was awesome (and so did club DJs) and radio basically ignored that. And I think it was much better than this.
The stations may be playing it now, but that could easily not go anywhere long term.

After listening to the song on the radio last night, I have decided to change my prediction by a bit... still not making the top 10 but should peak between #11-15 (I was predicting #15-20 before)...
In replying to one of the previous posts, "Senorita" is definitely not a mess compared to "Me Against The Music"... There were just too many vocals added towards the end of MATM... Anyway, MATM is growing on me, but sad to say, I still can't get over the Madonna solo part...

I hope Britney doesn't get bashed for this because she is the only thing good about it. Her vocals are good and I like the way her voice goes with the music. Madonna is the one who really ruins this track. God, she really is finished.

I wish Madonna wasnt there. I agree that her part is the worst part.
I just realized Britney sings a lot better than Madonna

Right now its at #88 on Mediabase with 127 spins. It looks like she has most of the major stations playing it. Hmmm

Didnt American Life and Slave start out the same way?
Oh and I think this song makes Britneys voice seem much better than before and Madonna's worse. Madonna seems so...wooden.

I don't know how anyone can say it sounds like a typical Britney song. It doesn't sound like any of her other songs to me.

I just heard it on a CLEAR CHANNEL station (so there goes the blacklist theory) and MATM is one of those songs that doesn't fit well with Radio. I can totally see people tunning into the station when the song is on and then flipping to the next one. While the song is not bad, i just really can't see it being played a lot. Could you imagine having that song being played on your station like 90 times a week? I can't. That's why it will do very similar to Slave/Dirrty chart wise.

Well, at one point there was definite blacklisting. I've seen articles for proof that were posted at some of the Britney boards. Blacklisting seems like a logical case because of the choice of Concerts West instead of Clear Channel as the tour sponsor. To get back at her, Clear Channel, with all the power they had, decided to blacklist her. I don't believe that Britney was the only one to be blacklisted either.
Another interesting point is that one of the Clear Channel stations here, KHKS 106.1 KISS FM in Dallas/Ft. Worth, had a thing called the BIG ASS BATTLE and they put two songs against each other. "Boys (Co-Ed Remix)" competed Monday-Friday and won every night but then suddenly the song got no airplay. Obviously people were voting for it but it's as if the song got snubbed afterwards.
Hopefully that made some sense and it didn't seem like babble. I'm definitely a Britney fan and I'm not griping because her songs weren't hits, I'm just trying to state some facts. Anyways, I love the song and I hope the best for it.
Thanks, Ben

LMAO this song is hilarious!!
WTF does Madonna think she's doing? Sure American Life wasn't a commercial success, but I really liked the album. So to try to make up for her fall in popularity she does a shit song like this? She's losing the plot.

If I were to predict this solely on the song: #35If I were to predict this on the fact that it's Britney & Madonna and they are using their media blitz after the VMAs: #3So to take the average of the 2 and come out with my final prediction : #19

I'll say #14. And I agree that Madonna weakens what could've been a pretty good song.

I've heard this song on WXKS 3 times nows. The first two I hated it and the third time was on Open House Party and I've realized that it's just beginning to grow on me.
And I also agree this will do as well as Christina Aguilera's "Dirrty," if not lower. #20-#14.
DJ friendly not Top 10 radio friendly.

I believe hype will help this song. I like the song, it's really quick and upbeat, it will probably soon get annoying though. My prediction: #12

Was this song's first day of airplay Friday? I can't believe it's already up to #62 just from two days.

Actually it has really only been out 1 1/2 days. It premiered on stations on Friday night. It seems to be doing really great, I am very surprised! Looks like radio is gonna give her another chance

After hearing the song for <1 minute, I had to turn it off. For sure the song will get about +1500 in the first 10 days of release like Dirrty did, and then it'll get stale by day 30. Slow down, then stop. at #15 or so. It's not a radio hit in that it won't have an extended chart run to warrant a recurrent; it's merely a TRL hit, where Britney will be for a while.
To summarize: - don't like the song - will rise & fall quickly - 50 days on TRL and retirement

Part of me is shocked at the SUDDEN rise of this song. I cannot believe that this song, in just about 2 days, is now in the top 60 of pop. Wow, go Britney! I know that part of this rise is all hype, and I accept that, but I really like the song and the beat is awesome. I am definitely seeing top 20 for this song, and most likely top 15. I am a little hesitant on top 10 status, but we will see on that.

I just heard 'Me Against The Music' on KDND this afternoon, and I couldn't stand it. There's no way this song will stand the test of time - certainly not beyond a few weeks, in any event. Like many other Music Board members, however, I think this song will rise quickly and peak early. Therefore, my guess: #19

It's interesting that Madonna has accomplished the seemingly impossible---she's actually made Britney sound good! It's true, on this track, Britney's voice far outshines Madonna, and it succeeds in only making Madonna's already screwd-up image worse still.
Without Madonna, the track would still sound awful though. I'm predicting maybe 20-30 peak on CHR. Of course it's bound to go top 10 in the UK, where practically every Britney or Madonna single debuts, whether the song sucks or not.

Not sure why people are surprised this song is rising quickly, it's Britney and her biggest asset is her buzz factor.
I like the song and I hope it does well, but I'm sure it'll slow down really quickly after the first week or so.

The song makes it's Top 50 debut based on less than 3 full days of airplay.

The song makes it's Top 50 debut based on less than 3 full days of airplay. I am pretty sure its mostly due to hype but it is great to see her doing well on radio. This song isnt nearly as bad as other tracks that are in the top ten right now. I hope that she can maintain solid airplay.

I like the song and I hope it does well, but I'm sure it'll slow down really quickly after the first week or so. I totally agree that the buzz factor is what has helped this climb so quickly. I bet the gains slow down big time after two weeks, the song peaks at #22 after 5 or 6 weeks than falls quickly. Similar to "American Life"'s chart run.

I just heard on All Access and it sucks! I only listened to 45-60 seconds of it and it was all I need to hear.
