Well well look at that, gains are down to +1300 while spins only rose 112 spins, i'm not even gonna say i told you so.
I'm betting her gains will be around +900 by sunday night. And her audience impression keeps rising slower and slower. Britney might have had a wonderful debut on the hot 100, but at this rate the song probably won't even jump 5 spots next week.

Uh, when she was around +2000 that was over 0 the previous week, or something else minimal. Obviously the spin gains will decrease by a lot, that's not news to anyone. It will level off eventually though, probably in a week or two.

I agree with you that the spin gains were expected to drop, but climbing 112 spins a day like how she did today equals a +784 move per week. The only time i am going to admit that this single is in trouble if it starts gaining below 100 spins daily anytime soon, because things are still looking good, just not as good as before.

Oh, God help us! Because most songs usually do this well.

Oh, God help us! Because most songs usually do this well. Heh. For some reason I'm reminded of Torn's climb to the top. At one point it went 24-17-16 (at least on Rick Dees, it did.) And we all know it went on to spend weeks and weeks at #1.

Britney looks like she will stay #14 for the rest of the week, that seems to be a popular position for huge female pop singers who have a sexed up comeback.

What's the irony in that statement? A lot of people predicted worse for MATM.

Im not a huge Britney fan but I think this song will do good. Maybe it slowed down, but every song has to at some point.

Actually, she has a pretty good chance of passing over Stacie Orrico within a few days, and even if it takes her a few days to do that, Britney's promotional push on TV will probably keep "MATM" rising on pop for the next several weeks. This is what happened with "Slave" to a certain extent. It didn't have a huge debut like "MATM", but it slowed down considerably after 2 weeks, and gained +200 to +300 a week and peaked at #18. I honestly think the same will happen. She'll most likely slow down like you say, but I don't think it'll lose its bullet anytime soon. Also, you said it'll be at +900 by sunday night? Well, are you aware that it had 2542 spins last sunday night? It should easily pass 3542 by tomorrow, and should be able to have a gain at about +1100 by the time sunday night rolls around...

Britney already had the sex image going (see IAS4U video). (b) We were warned to stop making comparisons to Christina, and here you go mentioning it. Just keep it out of the argument... (c) I also would love to know what other artists who fit this criterion have reached #14. Once again, radio rules, you would do yourself a world of good if you just think a little before making generalizations like that.

JCMF3, Britney never lesbian kissed, posed nude, and admitted she wasn't a virgin. And the Christina comparisions is all in fun, maybe you should lighten up a bit and not take everything i say so seriously! Honestly, you can't get away with one little exaggerated statement on these boards without having it staying stuck up your ass for days.

I dont know if you were being sarcastic or not, but wasn't the Madonna kiss at the VMA's considered a "lesbian kiss"?
