Well if Virgin knows what's good for them they better pull a TLC and release a better song off the album real soon. The number of stations playing Janet's new song and its plays are decreasing.l

If CHR-Rhythmic and Urban don't like "Just A Little While" that much, would it hurt to release another single to CHR-Rhythmic and Urban (and Urban Adult Contemporary if it fits) and hope it doesn't hurt the CHR-Pop airplay of "Just A Little While"? They could even release a double A-sided single.

I hope they dont pull this single. Its one of her best in a long time. >:(
Kayne West is my favorite right now so I wont be suicidal if his song gets released as the real first single.

It's not dropping fast! A song can't keep a +2000 bullet for that long. It would be at #1 in a month.

SHELF THE SONG! SHELF THE SONG! SHELF THE SONG! So you agree with me or disagree with me? LOL... I think Virgin should shelf the song and only put it on the album as a bonus track. It sounds like the Bonus track off the Janet album.

You are assuming that anything else she realesed would do well... They are not going to cancel the single - flop or not, which is the right policy.

I just hope this song doesn't head down the same road as American Life or Trouble did (Started out great, then plummeted FAST and shocked everyone). This song isn't that bad, but its nothing different or new for her at all, which is why I think songs like American Life and Trouble flopped. When I heard the song, I was really underwhelmed, cuz I thought I was gonna hear something really fresh from her. I honestly thought the whole Jimmy Jam thing would be gone from this album.

Maybe it's not a flop but its bullet is collapsing rapidly.

I'm telling you that Virgin had better be ready to release another single in 3 weeks because that's when I expect it to start plummeting if down the chart if not earlier. If its still bulleted in 3 weeks then its probably a bonafide hit provided its still getting a higher and higher peak position.

I honestly wanted Janet to put out that hard hitting dance music they were talking about then to hear this is just absolutely utterly dissappointing. Janet is one artist that we want to dance. We don't pay her to have a great voice or deep songs. I pay Janet to make me dance. When she doesn't I'm just like blahhhh!

Come on, I really doubt it will lose its bullet in 3 weeks...it still has a pretty decent bullet of 1500. It's inevitable that the bullet is reducing now, that's nothing unusual.

Yeah, 'cause when I hear this song come on the radio it makes me want to just sit down and rest, it's so downtempo and all. ???

Well, it's been more than a week since I last posted on this board...
And the song is still a hot piece of crap. Least favorite Janet single ever.

I would be inclined to agree with you but the number of stations is deminishing also...Thats why I feel the way I do. if some stations are dropping off, they likely had a very low spin count... look at WKKF, increased it's airplay by 47, KZZU increased it by 41, KCHZ increased it by 50 and KSME incresed it by 37.. those are just some of the adds... in fact of the top 20 stations who have the song on spins, WHYI is the one that added the least amount of spins with only 11.. but it had the songs at 33 spins already.. for 2 weeks, i wouldn't call that too shabby

I dont hate this song and I'm not running a hate campaign. I'm just being truthful and honest. I love janet dearly but this song isn't a good choice as the first single IMO. Now it looks as though stations are dropping it left and right and gains are down. What other proof do you need to know that this song is probably going to flop by Janet standards.

I know but what does it matter though really? It would not be the end of the world. If it flops oh well.. noone is going to go killing themselves. I mean I haev always been a Janet fan and I would love for her to be commercially seuccessful and all.. but it just seems to me like you WANT it to fail.. you WANT it to be cancelled.. your just sitting at your computer waiting for updates to see it fail.. with that said I hope it doesnt.. and if it does i dont give a shit.. I just hope her album is good.

They said on the radio today that the album is "VERY pop". Janet has decided that she wants no part of "rapper of the moment" wave that is taking-over Urban music. Instaed this alubum is "full of old-fasion straight-up pop songs..." "expect more 'Escpade's' and 'When I think of You's" than 'Son of a Gun's' or even 'How's It Gonna Be's"'

Thank god she isn't participating in the rapper of the moment movement. Hopefully she will have great songs that people can dance too.
Edit: This is what one Janet fan said today so I'm not sure how true it is. "My sources at Virgin records tell me that the new Janet Single (which will be the official single) will be much much more R&B and will go out immediately to the urban stations. The RB Dept is very excited that they will have a record to work and said it should be coming any day now. Tho none of them have heard it yet, they say it is very very hot! "
