Janet was never one to latch on to a rapper of the moment, was she?

I heard the same thing as RR guy. JC Chasez was on Z95.7 today talking about the Pro Bowl and stuff and said he has an advance of Janet's CD and that it's really edgy and poppy and that he loves it.

Thank god she isn't participating in the rapper of the moment movement. Hopefully she will have great songs that people can dance too. Edit: This is what one Janet fan said today so I'm not sure how true it is. "My sources at Virgin records tell me that the new Janet Single (which will be the official single) will be much much more R&B and will go out immediately to the urban stations. The RB Dept is very excited that they will have a record to work and said it should be coming any day now. Tho none of them have heard it yet, they say it is very very hot! " This information is incorrect... It has been verified that nothing else will be released until JALW is released. Two radio stations have verified that they have heard cuts from the album and describe it as very pop and dance oriented and not Urban in the least bit including hte Kayne West track.

Oh my god, this song is slowing down at an alarming rate!
:Throws Janet in the garbage bin with Madonna, Mariah, and Whitney:
It's official, the big four are OVER.

Do you agree with me or are you just saying that? No i agree with you, this song is going to be a big flop. It looks like pulling off stunts before launching a new single doesn't really work that well (Britney's kiss, Janet's tit, etc.).

Tho none of them have heard it yet, they say it is very very hot! What?? That makes no sense at all. How can anyone know if a song is "very very hot" without even hearing it first?

Adonis, change the thread title. If you want, call it "Janet slows down" or something like that. JALW is not being cancelled...no point going on about it..

Hmn, how shall I put this diplomatically? JC Chasez is a liar! Why / Where would he get an advanced copy of the CD? Did he download it illegally off the internet? I haven't seen it anywhere.

Jc probably knows someone in the industry. In any case if he said he heard it I dont think he would lie about it being good especially since he has every reason to not like it.
In any case....
Pop (+1261) Rhythm (+264) Hot AC (+99)
The spin increases are way down again. The number of Pop stations is back up to 112 though.

Unofficial information + Adonis' thoughts= "Official information" You are confusing people man. Virgin did not say this was officially the next, or what you would like to call "first official" single. Her first damn single is JALW! ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0270.gif)

They said it was the next single on the website. You make it seem like I made it up. Everyone involved with that song accept for Virgin has said it will be out any minute now. TLC did something similar with Silly Ho and No Scrubs.
And if you'll note that the last time I reported information on Janet that came from a musician or producer's web site it turned out to be quite accurate. Ok they call the song JALW instead of LMJALW that's the only difference.
Even Janet-Xone reported the information and they are a very reputable Janet website.

Kanye West was on the radio in Philly promoting his CD on Monday. He said that Janet has a single coming out soon that he produced for her, not the one thats out now but different. He was saying its very R&B and has a crazy drum beat. He also said she was one of the best artist he worked with in the studio.
Yep yep on Power 99...which is actually 98.9 on the dial.

It will. They played the Maurice mix in Dallas today when I was there. It sounds great on the radio.

Unless it can pick back up, it looks like this peaked at #20.

#19, I think.
Is that the lowest peak ever for a song that once had a 2000+ bullet?
